Valentine Keychain

I have seen these on Becky Robert's Blog. I think she used the smaller post a notes but I like the larger size; any size works. I used the Specialty Designer Series Paper Love Impressions (121780) for the new mini-catalog (January 4). And the little Valentine owl just sets it off. Great gift item for someone always looking for a scrap of paper!
Until next time!

Ho Ho Christmas & St. Patty!

I had to make a page out of the cutest picture of my grandson, Jacob! This will be one of the pages we will make at our first scrapbooking meeting in January along with a small mini-album!
The St. Patty Day card was made using the Plaid Technique and the new St. Patty Stamp Set (121939) in the new mini coming out January 4! and I just had to use the chunky glass glitter. The shamrock was made with 3 large heart punches!
St. Patty's day is special to me - my oldest daughter was born that day!
I hope everyone had a very, very Merry Christmas! and did not get tooooo much snow. We did have a white Christmas.
Until next time!

Nugget Tins for Christmas

Oh me! The expression says it all!
These tins are the tins from the LNS Bulk Buy. They hold 6 tealights or 8 Hershey's nuggets. I used Party Light scented candles in the Chocolate one and nuggets wrapped with embossed silver metal sheets. The tins make a great little remembrance gift and added bonus are re-usable!
I wanted to post and wish everyone a VERY, VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! and hope everyone is healthy and happy and shares the day with loved ones!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Until next time!

Gesso Technique

Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set was stamped on Black Glossy Paper using Gesso! The base of the card is Basic Black with Whisper White embossed with Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The card is accented with the 'new' black - Basic Gray. The round sentiment is from a new PUNCH BUNCH stamp set (123211) from Stampin' Up Sale A Brations coming in January. I like the black/white and gray combo.
Oh, a word of advice - if you don't have Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set I suggest you get it. It is going to be one of SU's Classics! Don't you just love trees?
Until next time!

Another Sneak Peak

A sneak peak at the new items offered in the Occasions mini-catalog premiering January 4!
Crumb Cake & Old Olive make up this card. The new Framed Tulips (121809) embossing folder was used on the Crumb Cake base then I added a piece of the Botanical Gazette (121783) Designer Series Paper at the bottom. The Nature Walk (121997) Stamp Set butterfly was stamped over the words from French Foilage.
A new Beveled Windowpane (121881) was added on top of the image. A Trinket Key (121892) in dangling from the side tied on with natural hemp. I left the sentiment blank so it can be added later on the Window Word punch.
This card was inspired by one in the Occasions mini! I hope everyone saves their mini-catalogs. They are chocked full of insiration and ideas!
Until next time!

Mr & Mrs Gingerbread

Here's a cute little card I made using the 5 petal flower punch as a gingerbread person. I have seen this punch idea before on other blogs but don't remember where. Anyway I gathered the 1 1/4" stripped ribbon for the front. Makes a cute little Christmas card. Cherry Cobbler & Expresso are the base and Curly Cute (120510) is the greeting stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink.

Word Play

"Wood" you be mine? is a Valentine's card. The punched hearts are cut from the NEW glimmer paper that will be in the new Occasions Mini (January) and the wooden scallop square from the wood sheets from Stampin' Up. Words were done on the computer in My Design Studio!
I made this card using Tim Holtz's Crackle! then drew the boards after it was dry. The image is from Countryside Stampin' Up set. Ovals cut from Nestabilities.
Well for some reason I can't edit this to put the pictures in the right order soooo I'm sure you can figure out which one is crackle! Sorry!

Paper Bag Pouches

A little sewing is required to make these paper bag pouches. They are great for gift cards and little add-0n gifts or stockin' stuffers. I made two: one from a brown bag and one from a white bag. The brown bag has 3 pockets to fill. A gift card fits easily in the first pocket.
The white bag only has one pocket! BUT well filled! LOL
They are really cute to make and fun to fill. The instructions are under Templates in my right sidebar.
Until next time!

Candle Tin

This cute little candle tin is one I bought from the Bulk Buy group. I stamped on tissue paper the holly and colored in the berries then I used the 1 3/8 punch to punch them out and the small hole punch to punch a hole for the wick. TIP: I stacked up ALL the 6 holly images and put them on top of a piece of card stock and then punched, same with the center hole. It helps stablize the tissue paper since it is so thin.
Then I placed them on the tea lites and heated with my heat gun until the tissue paper 'melted' into the wax. I'm not sure if you can actually burn these; some say it's ok and some not so...
I made the tag and added the three colors of seam binding for a bow. What a nice gift for someone. I also made an insert so it stablized the candles and keeps them in place.
Until next time!
