Another Recycle

This is the box left from the Frog or Duck tape (you use when you paint). A friend gave it to me after the labels were removed! Anyway... I decorated it and would be a great container for ribbon scraps, brads, buttons - well most anything! Great gift container for that crafter on your list!
I did use Stampin Up retired paper and my bad but the flowers are Prima. (using up my stash B.S. (Before Stampin' Up)... I used the 1 1/4" stripped ribbon for the edge.
Until next time!

Recycling Again

This cute little box is the container left over when you empty one of the Stampin' Up Brad boxes. You can also order these from the catalog! The 2 1/2" circle punch from SU perfectly fits the bottom of the box and the top. I used the tiny pom pom trim around the lid. The flowers were dyed with SU reinker and the brad is the retired corduroy ones that I dyed using the Tangerine Tango inkpad; all accented with a Daffodil Delight bow!
I have lots of these little containers now just waiting to be recycled!
I feel like I have been MIA for a long time. I was without internet (NONE) for 7 days. Finally got Verizon Air Card which I am not crazy about but at least I can log on! I have also had the flu for 2 weeks and have been out of town twice. Retirement will wear you OUT!
I am hoping to slowly get back to normal and post often. I have missed all my cyber friends!
Until next time!

Stamp-A-Holics Challenge 160

Let's RECYCLE!
I posted the Clear Acrylic Block containers several months ago but thought it was worth repeating! This should inspire you to look at ALL containers and think 'What can I do with that?' Well at least that's what I do.
The container with the big flower (Blossom Petals Punch SU) was an empty container that had a $1. travel first aid kit. I used the contents to make on of the tins so I had the empty container left and it was tooooo good to toss!
My Stampin' Clubs made notepad holders during our meetings this month. They are very handy for your purse or car and who doesn't need a pencil/pen and paper! I made my daughter this note pad holder for her purse. It has a note pad inside, a pen, a calendar and an envelope (SU die cut) for busniess cards! I used MDS to make this cover.
Our theme challenged by our very talented Cynthia Stevenson is recycling. We always have empty containers, jars, stamp cases, boxes, etc. Let's RECYCLE! You'd be surprise what you can come up with!
Hop over to Stamp A Holics Blogspot and play along!
Until next time!

First Edition

These cards were inspired by a Sharon Field post using the new Stampin' Up First Edition Designer Paper in the Mini-catalog. I dyed the flowers with More Mustard reinker. The other flowers almost matched the Cajun Craze cardstock. And I am really loving the glimmer brads! Gives a nice touch.
I did not realize I have not posted since Sunday. I guess life got in the way! which sometimes happens to us all.
Anyway I hope you like the cards as much as I enjoyed making them. You just use the First Edition paper and color the images on the paper! Neat, huh?
Until next time!

Sewing Tin & Christmas Bonus

The pictures are reversed! LOL
This is a neat little sewing tin I made. It contains thread, needles, scissors, needle threader (for us old folks) and safety pins. What a plus for your car or purse! What a great gift! It was decorated using the Ice Cream Parlor stickers from the Sale A Brations catalog.
The little Santa card is a bit early but I saw this technique and had to try it and this was the only decorated napkin I could find. You use the top layer (decorated layer) and make the following 'sandwich' - Brown paper bag, cardstock, Press N Seal Glad wrap (sticky side UP); Napkin and the last layer is another brown paper bag layer. Iron with a regular iron (cotton setting) - no steam until the Press N Seal melts. You can check it by lifting the corner.
It all melts together and makes a great card front. Add a few embellishments and you have it! What a great way to remember special occasions, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays, Weddings, etc!
Until next time!

Easel Card

I think this is a variation of the Easel card. Start with a 10" x 5" cardstock; score at 5" and then diagonally thru the top section. The front is added and measures 5 1/8x5 1/8! I love the design. I found this piece of retired DSP and used the ornament punch to make the 'hot air' balloon. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!

Metal Covering

I used the metal sheets to make this notebook; cut to fit, ran it thru the Big Shot and adhered to the little composition book with Sticky Strip. Same thing with the extra large paper clip to hold your pictures on your desktop! Quick and easy gift and the pen rounds out the surprise!
By the way, my grandson found a new use for my Scoring board.
Sorry I hit Enter too quick!!
