ETC...

Here's a few thing I made just to use the sets. The Pink card is from the Strength & Hope set Stampin' Up gives $2.00 to cancer research for each set sold.
I made the one using the lion from Fox and Friends. He is embossed in gold. I just wanted to emboss something!
The envelope was made using a page from last year's catty. On one of the forums everyone was discussing what to do with the old catty's so I thought I'd give it a try! Cute, huh?
I just wanted to let everyone know I have been busy. Been doing some scrapbooking too and getting classes together for May. Hope to get on a better schedule soon! Wish me luck with that one!
Until next time!

Easter - too late

Inspired by Becky Jensen at Stamp That, I made this to save for next year. It used the Lattice Die Cut, Very Vanilla & Soft Suede. The Tulip Edge Embossing folder just sets it off; simple yet elegant. Thanks for stopping by. You know this might make a great Sympathy Card as well!
Until next time!

Eggs-tra Special

Jacob's First Easter Egg Hunt was Saturday at the Pastor's house! Everyone had a great time. He was very learly of putting eggs into the basket. I guess he thought we'd take them away. But most of the kid's his age felt the same. The Pastor took them for a tractor ride after lunch which I think he enjoyed more than hunting eggs. He found 2 right away and held on to them the whole time. What a good day! Was a little chilly but warmed up about the time to go home! LOL
He really liked the big blue 'ball' lawn ornament!

Stamp A Holics Challenge 166

Our 3D Challenge this week was brought to you by our fearless blog mom, Carole' Anne Sluchinski. We were alloted 45 minutes but it actually only took about 30 mins to complete. The Business Card Holder is a nice addition to your crafting table, desk or workshop area. Quick and easy to make and only takes 5 x 7 piece of DSP so a good little project for scraps!
I used Pear Pizzaz and Greenhouse Gala Designer Paper. Hop over to Stamp A Holics blogspot and check out the other holders our design team came up with AND enter yourself!
Until next time!

First Hair Cut

Took a break today and made a 2 page spread of Jacob's first hair cut. He was transformed from a baby to a 'little boy'! His mom said he did really well, just like a champ! I tried to do a before & after and some in between. All SU paper - Base is So Saffron and the printed DSP - Play Date but no stampin' (my bad). I did add an Elmo cut from Cricut and used pre-cut letters. Still trying to use some old stash!

Dauber Storage

We just finished our Stamp A Stack for the month and I decided to share a Dauber Storage Box I made today! I used a Plano Tackle Box and guess where I got that!!!
The chart for the inside bottom and inside top I made using Print Shop and Photoshop Elements. I am sure there is a way in MDS. I also used an 80-label sheet (return address size) and made labels for each dauber BUT I am going to get some new ones before I use those!
I think I will add some sponges in the cubbies that have nothing! I use alot of Basic Black and Chocolate Chip so this would be a perfect fit.
Until next time!

Challenges I Missed!

Stamp A Holics - Challenge 164
using a sketch! I did get to post 163!
The other card is a Technique Junkie Textured Watercolor using the new Embossing folder from Stampin' Up available May 1.
I am so hoping with the Internet back, next week will be better! Thanks for your patience.
Until next time!

Recess

Another sneak peak from the Mini Catalog that starts May 1! The name of the stamp set is Recess (123092). I made this card for a 6 year old birthday using the hop scotch board. Poppy Parade is the base color with Tempting Turquoise and the DSP is from Build A Bear Workshop (11736). Easy, peasy card!
I am so happy today to get my Internet back. Ntelos was down for 9 days! The withdrawals are simply unmentionable. I did however use dialup which is really terrible; everything timed out. I can't believe we used to think it was fantastic! Hopefully they have fixed it for good!
Until next time!

Stamp A Holics Challenge 164

What a great color challenge brought to us by Mitzi Luttrell. Hop over to Stamp A Holics blogspot and check out the DT's entries and play along. Would love to see what you come up with. Use Pear Pizzaz, Baja Breeze & Very Vanilla. I used a piece of Nature's Walk DSP for the background and the NEW Sneak Peek 3 part punches from Stampin' Up coming to you May 1!
PS I am using Dial Up since my Internet is DOWN again! Oh how slow and I HATE it. Hopefully by Monday it will be back up.
Until next time!

Coaster Post It

While cleaning up my room, I remembered seeing a Post-It done using two 4x4 coasters. I found these coasters I covered 2 or three years ago and never used! So... I added several Prima flowers with SU Glimmer brads and Voila' I love using things I have had on hand 'forever'!
It is bound with the Bind It All which I have not used in years either. The DSP has been discontinued for a long time but I still like it and after all it's just 'paper'. Makes a cool, quick little gift!
Until next time!

Summer Mini Sneak Peek

I totally missed this download in the new Summer mini that you will be getting at the end of this month! If it weren't for Ilina Crouse's inspiration I would have never noticed that the download was available! (Demo's preorder).
I hope you like it. I used Crushed Concord and Perfect Plum and printed on my printer. The punched strip was added as well as the Old Olive brads. I punched the strip like someone showed us using the Scallop punch but I did it wrong but I like the outcome.
Click here to see the Scallop punch strip!
I made a couple of cards using the MDS so I will post them both.
Until next time!
