Oh No... Another Recycle!

Do you remember hearing the commercial 'Respect the Roll'. Well here's my version! Guess what I used to create this Roll Holder!
Yes, two empty CD cases. The top held 25 CD's and the bottom held 50 CD's! Joined together makes the cutest 'Respect the Roll' holder. I did though use retired paper. Thanks for stopping by.
And believe me I did not do this because I was bored. LOL
Until next time!

Another Recycle

A stampin' friend of mine gave me a bag full of acetate containers so they could be recycled. Here's one I did today. Quick, cute little gift (lip balm) and the acetate sleeve had something else in it when she bought it. It is just the right size. I cut a piece of cardboard that comes in the back of the DSP and covered it then added a little bling! Enjoy
I also made a card today using a piece of acetate I cut from that batch! You just never know what you can do with 'trash'!
Until next time!

Recycle Brad Boxes

Again! RECYCLE. This little holder was made using Stampin' Up's empty brad case and one of the empty ribbon rolls. I saw it somewhere on the web but not sure where it was so if someone wants credit, please email me and I will be glad to give it to you.
I used DSP and some little decorative flowers. After punching a hole in the side, I put an eyelet for the baker's twine to be pulled thru. How cute to make these little containers for all three bakers' twine and the linen thread and even the hemp would be great!
The picture also has a gathered flower I made to use later on another project.
Don't you just love recycling!
Until next time!

CD Magnet

I keep finding things on my table to finish up! This is made on an old CD with a magnet strip on the back. It's Jacob cooking his cars in the kitchen floor; he loves to 'cook'!
Cut a circle of DSP using your Circle scissors and adhere to an old CD.
This is a good way to display your pictures and then you can remove the magnet and place on a scrapbook page later on. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!

Recycle

Thought I would post this and then I have lots of cutting to do and errands. A friend of mine gave me a big bag of plastic pieces she had collected from craft purchases. This was from one of the little sizzlits (I think) so I made this shaker card using it. Well best way to recycle! Plus with all this heat, it makes you feel 'cool'! (sorry the image looks blurred but it was scanned)
I did use Marina Mist and the new Snowflake embossing folder and don't you just love the new sentiments.
Until next time!

Charlotte SU Regionals

I am sorry I have not posted sooner but last week was really busy and this week does not look much better!
Charlotte Regionals were exceptional! It is my first Stampin' Up event and I thoroughly enjoyed it plus I had a chance to visit my daughter and grandkids! Plus we did get some free goodies.
I wanted to share two things with you today. The bat treat box was made by and demo'd by Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up! It was made with two of the dies and I made this one. The only thing she did was used Dazzling Diamonds all over the bat which made it really glitzy.
The little card showed us a cute way to make a baby or juvie card and is quite cute and simple.
I will post more later in the week. Now go get inky! Keep in mind I made these quickly so I would not forget! LOL
Until next time!

A Few Things...

I have been busy with Club & Classes but I do have a few new things to post! I have also been working on Technique Junkies for October and getting ready for the Charlotte Stampin' Up Regional. This is the first event I have attended so I am sure it will be fun and informative. I probably won't post much this coming week!
First I did a scrapbook page after being inspired by one by Becky Jenson over at Stamp That Blog. Jacob is always a great subject!I used my Tart and Tangy (retired) set to make the card with the button but guess I'll have to get Button Buddies which is current and has some really cute images. My next project, I made this Halloween insert for my Post-It Note Holder and plan to make some for occasions and holidays. What fun! These Post-It Note Holders can be found at Walmart, Staples or Office Max and make a great addition to your 'office' area. (Nice Gift too)
The ENJOY card was made when I found these letters laying on my table doing nothing. Don't you love it when you find something you can do with 'scraps'!
Until next time!

Field Flowers

Well with all the SUPER projects everyone is making using Field Flowers 122762, I had to order it. I received it yesterday from Mr. Brown (who by the way is getting later and later - He delivered at 8:00 PM!) Anywho... it is a must have for the flower lover!
I did this Post-it Insert with it and just think you can stamp occasions, holidays, etc. and dress up your desk! Great gift idea too.
I made the card using Cajan Craze and of course the Field Flowers stamp set. I used 3 different inks to make it, Peach Parfait, Tangerine Tango & Cajan Craze. I was not really happy with the brads but I left them after I punched the holes. LOL
Until next time!

Challenges

Friday's Stamp A Holic Challenge was to decorate a notebook so I made this notebook with the junior legal pads. The paper is retired but I love it anyway! Jump over to the blog and see what the Design Team came up with. Today for us is a sad day because it will be the last post for Stamp-A-Holics. Maybe we will regroup later but for now this will be our last post!
It has been fun and I have enjoyed interacting with my cyber friends and some very talented ladies. Now go get inky and create something gorgeous! I think today I may scrapbook some (maybe)
I did not post the Try that Technique Thursday for Technique Junkies yesterday so here it is today! The challenge was to do a Trellis Card. Hop on over to the Technique Junkie Blogspot and play along! Fun and Impressive!
Until next time!Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Two Cards

I made the two cards Sunday and another is a sneak peak into the new Holiday mini coming out September 1! The clown card was inspired by a clown I had seen by Mary K Jones. Makes a great kid's card. I just made it for a quick sample!
The stockings were made with a new punch from Stampin' Up and the paper is also new designer paper in the mini! Some of you will be receiving a mini catalog in the mail soon and there's lots of new stuff! So ENJOY!
Until next time!

Scraps

Found this background I had embossed to show my friend how to use the Letterpress Plates so I decided to make a quick card with it. I cut the candle and punched the flame from the wing of the bird punch. The mat is Elegant Eggplant with Perfect Plum on the Sentiment. I love to use things I find lying around!

Another Sneak Peak! (Recycled)

This recycled container was originally the container Crayola Water Crayons came in for my grandson. Makes a great Halloween container and was very, very easy to recycle.
I used the printed Crayola insert to cut the NEW Stampin' Up Designer Paper (for the NEW Holiday Mini) as a liner! Don't you also just love the scalloped, dotted ribbon. Very easy, peasy and imagine filled with Halloween candy.

Distressed Card

Actually this was inspired by Sage Kimble and her Thursday 'Creationing' posts. She is an amazingly talented lady!
I love the distressed, antiqued look on this card. Any sentiment can be added such as Sympathy, Birthday, Note Card - Lots of possibilites!

Another Peek!

Stampin' Up's new Holiday Mini - premiering September 1 has the neatest Christmas Stocking die. Just a little peek at the new 'must have!'
One stocking was cut so you can use it for a card but the other was just a single cut for decoration. Actually the card stocking is Riding Hood Red but the scan looks like its a different color.
Until next time!

Sneak Peek!

I covered this new card box with the new designer paper - Spice Cake from the Holiday Mini-Catalog. Isn't that paper yummy?
The rose was done with Pool Party and Pear Pizzaz leaves with a touch of matching ribbon. This particular flower is done using the owl punch! (Hard to believe)
What a great addition to your craft room or makes a great hostess gift.
Until next time!

Stamp A Holics Challenge Continued...

Water, Water! was the theme this week (see the post below) and I added this page as well. Jacob was in the tub and when he stood up to get his car his little butt was covered with bubbles! He loves a bath and more especially the water. The bubbles are the 1/2, 3/4 & 1 inch SU punch from vellum and the background is Riding Hood Red with Not Quite Navy mats.
Hop on over to the Stamp A Holics blogspot and please play along!
Until next time!

Stamp A Holics Challenge 181

This week's challnge is a scrapbook page with the theme "water." Think of how you use water: cooling off at a lake, watering your garden, having fun at a water park, running through the sprinkler (OK, maybe not you, but your kids/grandkids.. haha.) How do you use water? You can use any layout, any colors, any number of pictures. Add an appropriate title. This was a day at the beach starring my grandson. I used Riding Hood Red and punches for the crab (matches his swim trunks) and Night of Navy as the background for this 8x8 page. The smaller pictures were punched with the Stampin' Up Postage Punch.
I added another page I did from a cook out at my daughter's house. Those kids had the best time in that pool! Was great fun! Have fun with this! and please share your creations with Stamp A Holics blogspot! Come on and play along; think 'cool' in this sweltering hot weather!
Until next time!
