And we have a WINNER...

First let me say my internet has been up and down since last Sunday so I decided I had better do this before it storms again today and I lose it again! I was going to wait till after church but decided "better make hay while the sun shines"!
WOW I was so impressed with all the responses to my Blog Candy Post and my little Hot Dog. I made the Hot Dog with the following punches:
Wide Oval trimmed at the bottom (More Mustard)
Hot Dog was a straight piece of paper to fit and the corners rounded (corner rounder)
Slaw was a piece of green printed DSP cut in shreds and slivers of vellum for the onions.
I wish I had 89 CD's to give everyone that commented but since there is only one I used Random Generator and number 53 is the lucky winner! Congratulations TRACY!
53 Tracy Raymond said... Love the card and thanks for the chance to win the TJ CD...I don't have that one....yet!!!
Keep checking in for more blog candy in the future! and again THANKS to all who played along and have a great day and stay cool.
Until next time!

Hungry, anyone?

These just go so hand in hand with the new Designer Paper by Stampin' Up called Domestic Goddess!
Connie Babbert had this slice of pizza on her blog and I really don't remember where I have seen the burger but a few places. Anyway aren't they cute? and they match that paper so well.
I was also asked to make a card for teens and these would fit the bill!

Embossing Folders

Don't you just love the new little frame embossing folders - 123130? The Wide Oval punch fits perfectly and the rectangle one measures 1 1/2x2 for a perfect fit!
I used Baja Breeze as the base for this card and the Faith In Nature Stampin' Up Hostess set. Makes a Peek-A-Boo great card.

Giraffe Technique

I combined the giraffe technique and the out of the box technique to make this card using the new Stampin' Up set - Zoo Review. I love the realistic animals it has. The card is More Mustard and spots are Cajun Craze. Beads were added on linen thread for accent.

Mornin' Ladies! Another technique for you to try today. Featured in the April/May 2011 Technique Junkie Newsletter - With or Without Collage. Come on give it a try. It is really a beautiful background and such fun.

Froggie Clip

This is a little frog I made as a bookmark on one of the big paper clips. He is quick and easy and even cute enough to 'kiss'! I think I will add a little bow and maybe some blush to spruce him up a bit. Just a fun little project. Would make cute little teacher gifts, kids back to school projects, and just for YOU too!
Time has been flying by and it seems it has been so long since I posted. I hope to one day get caught up and post more often. Glad you stopped by!
Until next time!

Try That Technique

Yep, Thursday! I'm a little late but better late than never. This is my take on the Technique Junkie Try that Technique. It is Bleach Swipes from the Dec. 09/Jan2010 TJ Newsletter. It is a fun technique to use for backgrounds. I spiced it up a bit by drawing the stitching making it look like lattice work! I used the new Array of Sunshine Hostess set with Wisteria and Eggplant Envy cardstock. The flower was stamped three times; cut; layered with Dimensionals.

Lots of Post!

First let me say lots of the Stampin' Up Demos are at convention this week in Salt Lake City. I would love to go sometime but the traveling!!! So... on with some shares!
Yesterday was Try that Technique Thursday at Technique Junkies. I am amiss and have not made my sample yet but hop on over and play along. This week it is the Bleach Swipes background from the Dec. 09/Jan. 2010 newsletter! Check it out. (I'll work on my sample today - promise!)
Today is the Stamp-A-Holics Challenge 178 - by Carole' Anne and this week the Late Night Stampers Yahoo Group Challenge 129. Carole' Anne's was a Sketch and Late Night Stampers was a color challenge so I combined them. Whew what a week!
Lastly I made a sample of the Snowflake Metal Tea Light Holder as a little hostess gift. It was such fun and I plan to make more for Christmas presents. I used Rich Razzleberry that seemed to match the metal perfectly. This was introduced by Monica Weaver at Add a Little Dazzle. What a great gift idea!

Travel Tic Tac Toe

I saw this cute game made in one of the Stampin' Up tins that had in the Clearance Rack! Quick and easy to make using the bottle caps with a magnet on the back for the X's & O's! By tracing around the chipboard letters (an X and O) I made the background paper for the top of the box. I admit I saw this on a blog, in fact today and now I can't find it to give credit but if you email me I will. Thanks for the idea and what a great little travel gift for a child (an adult).
I used the 1 3/8" SU Square punch for the board and 1" circle punch for the bottle caps.
Until next time!

Kaleidoscope Page

Here's the page I made using the kaleidoscope picture of Jacob at the beach a few weeks ago! It was a challenge to do the kaleidoscope but fun! I will try it again 'cause I think it does take a little practice and you have to have the right picture to make it look right.
I used Pacific Point and Cherry Cobbler accented with white and water drop stickers!

Cherish Friendship

Don't you just love this new Stampin' Up Cherish Friendship stamp set! I matted this on Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip and used the new scalloped ribbon as an accent! I used my markers to only color in the chair so I could put the bowl of cherries instead of the flowers!
Until next time!

Sunflowers Galore

Good Mornin' (well afternoon now) Here is a quick and really cute card I made after being inspired by Sharon at sharonstampsalot! The large flower is punched using the scalloped circle and punched twice. The leaves are from Just Because Stamp Set as well as the sentiment.
You actually could use this card for many occasions. I used my stylus and 'popped' up the flower centers for a great 3 D effect.
Until next time!
