Quickie Card

This sympathy takes about 5 minutes to make and good for sympathy, birthday, Anniversary, etc.
Base is Shimmer White cardstock and I cut a strip about 3/4" from black and white DSP.

The Die cut is the Fabulous Phrases collection. I have had that Die cut in my Stamp set box for about as long as it has been out. It was the first one I cut from the framelit! The sentiment is from that stamp set too. I added a mat using Island Indigo and scattered matching acrylic glitter dots! So when you need a quick card for any occasion, think of this one!

Until next time have a blessed day!

Happy Halloween

This new Cauldron Bundle is so cute for Halloween. It also has a kitty! I used SU Blends to color the cauldron and the 'little witch' & broom.

Rich Razzleberry is the card base and I used SU Shimmer Paper. The background is stamped with Rich Razzleberry using the Marble BG Stamp. I stamped off so it is lighter.

Hope you like it and get to stampin!

Until next time have a blessed day!

Elk Christmas Card

I ran across this card front while preparing for our stamp a stack! WELL... had to quit and make a card. I had left it because I had gotten ink on it in various places and just couldn't pitch it. SO, thus the snowflakes! (Good cover up)

The base is Chocolate Chip (retired) and I added some sprigs of pine in the corner. The front was also embossed using the ruffle embossing folder. I think it turned out ok. I also put Wink of Stella (clear) on the flakes.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Pinwheel Card

A stampin friend of mine wanted to make a pinwheel card so I made this one to show how to do it. They are super easy and look so difficult! I added the sprigs of green, wooden bow and two copper pine cones from last year.

I really liked how it turned out. I used Tranquil Tide for the base and sprigs and Real Red for the mats. Granny Apple Green is the mat embossed with the Plank Embossing Folder.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Detailed Baubles

The new Detailed Baubles is the focus for this card. I only used the Thinlits to cut the ornament and the outer wreath which I think is totally beautiful. I added acrylic dots to the bauble. The white behind the circle is 3.5 inches and fits the wreath.

I used non-traditional colors - Raspberry Ripple. The paper matched perfectly and I had some Raspberry Ripple Ribbon left over to make the cute little bow. The DSP is from the Tranquil Textures collection.

Have a great stampin' day. Comments welcome.

Until next time a blessed day!

A Little Hello

If you are at a loss for words try the Itty Bitty Greetings and bet you will find one that fits. I love that set and should be a Must-Have!

The card base is Whisper White with a Basic Black mat; topped with a white mat where the stamping is actually done.

I blocked off the rectangle with Post A Notes and sponged the green, Cajun Craze for the mountains, Balmy Blue for the sky! Then the card was stamped with Lovely As A Tree. I stamped it a second time a bit off center but it looks ok.

The two little deer were cut from the Detailed Deer set in Basic Black. They are adhered with Dimensionals. The greeting is centered on a Wasabi Punch. Thanks for stopping by. Comments welcome.

Until next time!

Detailed Deer

This lovely card has a Sahara Sand base with a Shady Spruce mat embossed with the diagonal strips Embossing Folder. I used one of the new Christmas papers from the Occasions mini, cut an oval in the center. Then I cut one as an outline and cut it again to make a thin 'frame'.

I then stamped and cut the Detailed Deer and I also cut one from a thin cardboard so it was more sturdy and I glued it on top of the oval. All was adhered with Dimensionals.

I love the colors and especially the paper.

Stamp of the Month

Once a month I feature a 'stamp of the month'! September was the month for Country Home. That stamp is so beautiful and the images are fantastic.

I used silver for the mat embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. Basic Black is the card base. I cut an stitched oval using Gray Granite and tied with a gray baker's twine. Colored the contents of the milk container and cut the design out and adhered with Dimensionals. Behind the oval is a die cut from the Petals and More Thinlits in Basic Black.

Trick or Treat

It's getting that time again - Halloween is on the way! I loved the ease of making this card. The base is Basic Black and I used the Tailor punch to punch 4 different colors and one Halloween DSP.

I used the ghost and kitty from the Cauldron Die cuts. The kitty and ghost was shaded with the gray Blends but does not show well on the scan. Trick or Treat is from Itty Bitty Greetings. Love that set too and gives you so many sentiments...

Until next time!

Happy Halloween

Someone sent me this card via Pinterest and so I had to CASE it. Love the effect and the saying is so cute. I did print that since there is no stamp for the saying.

The base is Pumpkin Pie with a Cajun mat and a DSP mat from last year's paper. For accent, a hat was cut from the paper and tipped on the cup. I ran the cut thru the Big Shot (after it was cut) with a leafy embossing folder. The cup was placed on a Very Vanilla background and matted with Cajun Craze.

Too cute for words! I generally do not do many Halloween cards but  I could not pass this up.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Snow, Snow, Snow

This card features the new Blizzard Die cut! I cut the mat using Whisper White and saved the snowflakes for another project. I did put a few inside the card for accent.

I put the stitched over on top of the stitched frame and added a paper bow. For accent also, I added glitter acrylic dots. I love the new die - another must-have! BTW I have no idea the paper color (was a stash).

Until next time have a blesssed day!

Gate Fold

Love the new Christmas paper this year. There's also lots of beautiful papers in the mini-Occasion Catalog. Anywho... this is my first gate-fold in a long time! I used Cherry Cobbler as the base of the card and a strip of paper inside to be careful to leave room for a sentiment and signature.

The deer is cut from the cardboard backing on a tablet of paper as well as the Christmas on the inside and there's room for a signature! I also added a strip of DSP on the envelope. Enjoy!

Until next time have a blessed day!

3D Tree

This set is a MUST-HAVE! It's the new Winter Woods and has matching Framelits. I used Shimmer White for this card and a gold mat.

The tree is accented with the gold metallic acrylic shapes. I wish I had some plain gold but... I like the white on white and with a small bow for accent!

Until next time a blessed day!

Country Home

The base of this card is Crumb Cake and the images were stamped with Early Espresso and colored with SU's Watercolor Pencils. The images are from the set Country Home; which I love, as well as the sentiment.

This could be sent for a lot of occasions by changing the sentiment. Now it makes a great Thanksgiving Card. Had lots of fun coloring the images! I have seen this one doe with a tiny bit of cotton on each pod BUT since I am allergic to cotton I can't do it.

Anyway... have a bless day and have fun 'stamping'!

Until next time!

Another 'find'

Cleaning my craft room is NOT gonna go today. I started and found this little flower frame from goodness knows what and just had to make a card. Some of you can remember the base is Sage Shadow with various yellow shades of flowers and shades of green for leaves.

A chunk of Chicken Wire (new from SU) adds accent. The yellow mat is adhered with foam tape for depth. I finished it off with various acrylic spots and pearl ones too. Hope you enjoy!

Makes a great Note card. I added three flower cut outs nested in a set of leaves.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Three-square card

On of my Stampin' buddies had previously pinned this! Thought I'd make one because it can be used for lots of occasions; just change the sentiment.

The base is Crumb Cake and then punches (1 3/8") from three shades of green. I punched four butterflies out of Watercolor paper and glued them together before adhering the final finished one on top! The beautiful butterfly is retired and was one of 'the Best' of Stampin Up's butterflies. I use it a lot. It is colored with Blends!

Until next time have a blessed day!

Merry Christmas

Christmas Scrapbook pages and our December SB Club! Cherry Cobbler is the base and two three inch strips down the side. I saw this somewhere on the net and it was so cute to CASE.

It has room for two 4 x 6 photos; one 4 x 4, one 3 1/2 x 5 3/4; and one smaller one. The strips are used to write date, place, persons, etc. The deer and Santa is attached with a Dimensional. the Lace strips were die cut and pieced together. They are exactly 6" for each one so they are easy to join.

Hope you like it and I'd love to hear your comments!

Double Trouble!

Well I was cleaning and trying to organize my 'scrapie' stuff! I ran across the pheasant card was cut and so I decided to finish it. It was one of our stamp a stack cards. Again STOP - cleaning!!!

Then I ran across this Thanks stamped so I decided to put it on the pre-cardstock and mat! Just don't look too close - my coloring was not perfect! LOL Hope you enjoy the day.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Still Night

Wow I love the new Still Night owl stamp set. This has a Crumb Cake base embossed with Woodland. I had the Very Vanilla cut out of the tree branch left from another card so I cut a Chocolate Chip one to go on top.

From the matching framelits I cut the owl skeleton and placed him on the branch. The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments. I fussy cut the Chocolate Chip to outline the sentiment punch. I added a snippet of ribbon I found laying on my table.

Would make a great masculine card for retirement, birthday, any occasion.

Enjoy!

Until next time!

Give Thanks

Our Thanksgiving Scrapbook Pages! I know it's early but am trying to avoid the push and shove to get things done. This page is based on Crumb Cake. I am also trying to use papers I have left since SU no longer has 12x12 colors. (sorry :-{)

Mats are Crushed Curry and various colors for Fall leaves. I can't believe it is almost Christmas again. I want to try and get the Christmas LO done today; then concentrate on the new MINI-catalog that debuted Sept. 5!

Until next time have a blessed day!

October Scrapbook Pages

For a change I am a bit early but these are the two pages we are doing in the October Scrapbook Class the first Friday in October. I love the colors and the way it turned out.

I smeared the white Gel pen so I may replace the Happy  Halloween without the gel. Hope you like it.

Goodie Box

This is a cute little box for those Christmas rememberances or office goodie gift, etc. The idea was not mine but my cyber friend, Sam H. It is a good size for small gifts.

It only take a 6 x 12 piece; two cuts; no trimming, just fold! Hope you like it and just think of all the goodies you can package.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Thanksgiving

Actually I like this card which is in the new mini-Occasions catalog. It's stamped then colored pencil added. The paper is watercolor; the stamp set is Pleasant Pheasants - both the sentiment and the image. I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip pencils and in that order.

Now I plan to make another one BUT next time I am going to lay the color down first; not after stamping. It did smear a little when I went over the pencil with the Blender pen. I think I may try it doing the color first and activating it with the aqua painter and let it dry. Watch out for the revision.

Until next time have a blessed day!
