Surgery

A friend of mine needed a surgery page. It's been a while since I have made scrapbook pages but I need to get back to it.

Love the color combination and there is plenty of room for pictures and even enough room for journaling. Enjoy

Sorry for the time lapse.

I have been busy with lots of chores that should have been done before this stay-at-home mandate but as usual we all procrastinate. I have kept the grandkids more since there is no school.

As most of you know I bought a 'new hobby' - an embroidery machine which is quite a learning curve in itself.

I've been trying to get my craft room and sewing room in order but that doesn't seem to work out.

Here's a card mad with the Mountain Air stamp sets and Majestic Mountains Dies.

Card Base is Basic Grey with a black mat and the main layer is brayerd with Rich Razzelberry. Good mail greeting card; could be birthday, note card, etc.

Stippled Hydrangea

I'm not sure how the butterfly explanation got involved with this card but it did.

The stippled hydrangea is an older, retired stamp but still beautiful. Heavenly Heather is the base with Gorgeous Grape as the mat. The ribbon too is discontinued. I purchased this stamp because it was the flower for my daughter's wedding. It is so beautiful.

Butterfly Watercolor

Using wet watercolor paper I dropped different colors of refill ink and it ran on the wet paper. Let this dry completely and using the Butterfly outline die, I cut out the die image.

The base of the card is Gorgeous Grape with Highland Heather as the mat run thru the Big Shot using the staggered brick embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty sayings stamp set. The 'spreading' ink makes a great colorful image.

Would make a birthday card, note card and get well card.

Christmas Mouse

Next time I will measure the hanger first. I had forgotten how big it was.

He is so cute I could not resist.  Makes a great gift.

Coasters

Today I created two new coasters for tea and coffee. I did (with help from a website post) learn how to make an applique so no sewn edges show. I do love this design.

I haven't made any cards lately. Several reasons: We can't have a stamp meeting due to the quarantine and I have not received but only a few of the new items in the catalog. Without being able to meet once a month I guess makes it seem like something is 'missing'. Hopefully soon we can restore our schedule and get together.

Also my computer went south and I have been spending lots of time trying to recover all my data. Too I have a new embroidery machine and software I am trying to learn.

I know, excuses!!! Will be back to normal soon I promise.
