First After-Christmas Christmas Card

Since I ran out of my handmade Christmas cards this year, I decided to at least try and make one or more a week so it does not happen again.

This is my first one.

The base is Garden Green with a Cherry Cobbler open-up card on top. The Designer Paper is retired as well as the felt embellishment. The saying is from Gina K on the Stitched Graduated Labels. Hopefully many more to come. I am trying to use some of my stash.

Hope everyone has a Great and Happy New Year. Stay Safe.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Pot Holders

WOW I did not realize it  has been so long since I posted.

I mailed out ALL my handmade Christmas cards and had to resort to store-bought ones! So I have decided to start the New Year out making at least a card per week (and more).

Today's post has two pot  holders I made from scratch and I love them both. They were such fun to make.

The bird one is 7.5 x 7.5 and the smaller one is 5 x 5. I think I like the bigger one better and I love the way it is bound.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas even though Covid 19 limited what family could do. I want to wish every one a VERY Happy New Year!

Until next time have a blessed day!

The kids love them 'cause it keeps their hands from freezing!

Straight Punch

Quick and easy Christmas card. All punched out. I used the Big shot and the new Sweetest Borders Die (153559) from the Christmas mini. The words on the inside are from the Word Wishes Die set (149629)

The Buffalo print was done using the 1" square die and punched the black squares. Great look for such a simple card. Like I said quick and easy!

Hi Top Boot

Made this today after finally getting the right material. It was fun to make but time consuming. I wish it were a bit bigger.

I love the hi top shoe. I made mine camo.

With Love...

Tried that quilt look introduced by my cyber friend, Regina! Mine was not as successful as hers but still a great card. I  used the bow from the Holiday mini-catalog which is anchored on top of a gold snowflake doily (retired). I punched a few leaves in gold and cherry cobbler for accent.

Hope everyone is staying healthy and still doing lots of card-making or scrapbooking. I have been lax on both counts but hopefully this will end soon. Have a great day.

Until next time!

Christmas Tote

This cute Christmas tote is 13.5x13.5. Love the saying because Jesus is the reason.

Great gift or to 'haul' your gifts. (washable) white canvas material. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and now on to Christmas.

During this unusual holiday season, I wish you all the best for a peaceful and safe holiday. Time to get those handmade gifts ready for delivery.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Think Spring

Yes, it's a bit premature but I have had this design for a while and finally found this background to stitch it on. The background was from a 12x12 picture frame I bought and just couldn't discard it. So... finally!

The fabric is stretched over a piece of thin styrofoam which I stitched thru. That makes the image look padded. 2020 has been such a bad year I guess I am trying to end it sooner than later. LOL

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Until next time have a blessed day!

Metallic Design

My dear friend, Pattie gave me a set of metallic embroidery thread. I tried this design from JuJuDesigns on a towel but it would be beautiful on a table runner or placemat.

It's much more beautiful in real life.

Thank you so much for these.

Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Gift card Holder

This felt gift card holder was from Tattered Stitches. You can get with any initial. There is slit in the back for the card and after can be a cute tree ornament.

Makes a great way to give a gift card and then have an ornament too!

Microwaveable Fabric Bowls

Now you may be wondering what is a Microwaveable fabric bowl….well it’s a hot pad that allows you to take a hot bowl right out of the microwave without burning your hands!  Makes a great gift for elders, teens or anyone with a microwave.

Small, medium & Large.

Free as a Bird

The base of my card is Early Espresso embossed light with the woodgrain embossing folder. Crumb Cake is the focal point of t he card with the branch of birds for the Free as a Bird stamp set. The saying is from the Capture the Good set (retired).

Both image are die cut and the Smile is adhered with Dimensionals. I colored the birds/branch with Stampin Up Blends. The inside of the card contains the sentiment ...it's your day! So the card can be used for several fitting occasions.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Farm Life

I stitched this out this morning for a surprise gift (RAK)! It is 8 x 10 framed. I love the saying and colors remind me of Fall of the year.

It is embroidered on canvas. I hope they like the surprise!

Gingerbread Ornaments

These were embroidered on believe it or not Mulberry paper. Remember when we used to make tear bears or use that paper on our cards. I think it makes nice ornaments.

I did a few of them and they turned out great. Love the design. It was a free Embroidery pattern from OMA Designs. Too cute. Thought I'd drop one in each Christmas card.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Spooky Halloween - Grandbabies

Jake and Scarlett - I think Scarlett is a lady joker and not too sure what Jake is! Both are too cute.

Next is Miss Josie the 'good' witch!

Due to Covid 19 Halloween Trick or Treating was a lot different. Some places had drive-thru's; some did truck or treat. Some small neighborhoods carried on as normal with parties and treats.

Here comes the candy and what a fun night.

Until next time have a blessed day!

This is a Heartfelt Creations set - Chick Retreat. I love the old shed and coloring this image. The base of the card is Crumb Cake with a wood grain mat.

The image is colored with Stampin Up Blends and accented with clear acrylic dots colored with a Soft Suede Blends marker. The sentiment inside can be adapted to several celebratory occasions. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Joyful Holly

Here's another take on the Joyful Holly Stamp Set. The base is Cherry Cobbler with a Garden Green Mat. The holly was colored with Stampin Up Blends.

I just love holly. It is such a happy bunch of colors. I used retired gold cord to accent the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a safe day.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Sewn Santa

As you have noted, I love my Luminaire Embroidery Machine. I have really enjoyed making these sewn greeting cards.

The base is White but it looks pinkish but it is really white. This particular card stock does not absorb ink quickly and of course I smeared it all over the bottom thus the extra paper. I don't think I have ever made a white card that I did not smear ink on it.

He is really a cute image and I love it.

Adoption Card

I made this for a friend that adopted a child. I used the Stampin Up butterfly die and accented them with clear acrylic dots that I colored with Blends to match the butterflies.

The background paper is from a retired Designer Paper Stack.

Light Me Home

Light Me Home Stamp Set is a very pretty snow scene. I colored this with the SU watercolor pencils. Just barely enough color to make the image pop.

I added a silver bow for accent. I love this scene and I know you will too.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Fancy Phrases

Heavenly Heather is the base and front mat on this beautiful card. The mat was embossed with the main image on top. The image is from the Fancy Phrases stamp set (152530).

I colored the image with Stampin Up Blends on Whisper White and cut with a retired sunburst framelits. I used Heavenly Heather ink and distressed the edge of the framelit; added ribbon for accent. I did not add a sentiment which will probably be a birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Majestic Mountain Dies

White on white Majestic Mountain Dies. The sequins for accent are silver but on the scan they look green. Anyway Whisper White Stampin Up cardstock with four die cut trees and a sentiment backed with Cherry Cobbler.

A quick and easy card and I love the white on white look.

Until next time have a blessed day!
