Scrapbooking

We'll be making these two 12x12 pages at our Scrapbooking Club on Friday! I used CalypsoCoral InColor and the retiring Sweet Shop Designer Paper. There's plenty of room for lots of pictures and/or journaling. I know we'll all enjoy making these pages. BTW the title 'So Sweet' is stamped on the left page but the photo did not pick it up.

I made the ice cream cone using the Petal Cone die for the cone and ice cream.

ReCycle! Fun

My friend gave me a plastic piece that she had with something inside (not sure what) so I recycled by adding designer paper and a 2-way Stampin' Up glue pen and a fancy little tag. Great hostess gift!

The little box was also given to me. It measures 3 x 6 3/4 (2 deep). Using the NEW Stampin' Up juicy ink foam pads (and they are FANTASTIC) I stamped a design all around the box. Great way to decorate a box for a gift for someone special! The stamp set is the Betsy's Blossoms, new and available June 1, and I used all the new InColors.

So you can stamp anything - so get busy and STAMP it!

Button Flowers

What a cute little bunch of flowers for your craft table, desk or just to admire! Using two Blossom Punch flowers with a skewer for the stem this little pail would make a super addition to your 3D paper projects. I used two or three matching buttons tied together using Baker's twine and hot glued to the top of the flower. The shred was made using tiny strips of Garden Green run thru the crimper then 'smushed' for the tope of the flower pot! Cristena Bagne was the original creator!

Challenge 174 - Masculine Cards

In honor of the upcoming Father's day celebrations masculine cards are the agenda! Create any card or project for the guys in your life. Seems we never have enough cards for those special boys! You can make a card for ANY occasion not just Father's Day!

I made a few different cards that can be used for many different occasions using the retiring Time Worn DSP and River Rock accected with Real Red.

I started this card a long time ago after seeing a similar one on Lynn Pratt's blog. It would be great for Father's Day or a Masculine birthday, young or old!

Christmas in May?

I found this little bird on the wreath while cleaning my craft room today and thought he would really pop on a white on white card. I know it is either awfully early or awfully late for Christmas but the spirit is thre! By using 3 different embossing folders the texture is outstanding. The wreath was adhered with Dimensionals on top of the paper 'ribbon' chevron.

I used the Hand-Penned Holiday stamp set in Real Red Classic Ink before embossing.

The Buzz about the New Ink Pads!

With the introduction of the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog, Stampin' Up! has made a significant change to their ink pads to make your stamping experience even better! The new pads will be available in all Stampin' Up! Colors (including the new In Colors) on June 1!

Click on Shannon West's You Tube video below for an excellent discussion of the new pads!
As a Stampin' Up! demo,  I have had a chance to experiment with the new firm foam pads.I immediately found a much lighter touch was needed to master these new pads. They are fantastic!

Try That Technique

Another Try that Technique this week. Masked Layers was featured in the Feb/March 2012 Technique  Junkie Newsletter. Cutie Bear

Is this not the cutest thing you have seen lately? I noticed it on Cat's Ink-corporated blog and had to CASE! It will fit a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 envelope and I put the greeting inside. Sorry the greeting is blurred. Think we'll do this one in a Punchie Class.

Get Well Wishes (Sneak Peek)

Sneak Peek at the new Betsy's Blossoms! Love the bird. The Basic Black is folded and mounted on Bashful Blue. Using the rock 'n' roll technique on the bird made him look shaded! (automagically) The Lattice Embossing Folder completes the picture!

Watermelon Crawl

I must say Jacob is enjoying this watermelon! I used Domestic Goddess Designer Paper and acents of Calypso Coral! The watermelon rind is made by rubbing the Garden Green Ink Pad across the Garden Green Paper with a touch of Daffodil Delight!

I hate to see this paper go. Love the colors and 'homey' look!

Paper, Glorious Paper

This time of year is always seen with mixed emotions - lots of new stuff and surprises from Stampin' Up BUT we have to face the fact that some of our favorites are retiring.

This little Ghirardelli candy holder was made using the Sweet Shoppe Designer Paper (retiring) and added accents using the matching rub-ons! The idea was originally introduced by Sandi McIver. What a neat hostess gift, place setting, or just a 'little' something extra.

Made using only an 8 x 8 sheet of paper, fold in 1/2 diagonally; score sidesat 3 3/4 and 7 1/2; score in the middle and then 3/4" on both sides of that middle score and punch 3/4" and tie... no need for glue! Embellish as desireed.

Lets find ways to use up all the designer paper we have building up. Create a card, scrapbook page, project, or any other idea you may and use designer paper on it! We need to make room for the new stuff.

Scraps...

I had ALL this on my craft table where I had punched stuff and did not use them so I combined them all and adhered it to this retiring designer paper. I was really pleased at what you could make from scraps! Give it a try...

Sorry to see you go!

It's not too late to play along - Late Night Stampers Challenge 172 - Say Goodbye... 'Sorry to see you go' - out with the old and in with the new! Using Calypso Coral for the card base I stamped Sweet Cake on Whisper White then restamped the cupcake in color, cut and adhered with Dimensionals. The Sweet Shoppe Designer Paper is retiring as well. It is such a fun paper. The ribbon accent is from Sale-A-Brations.

Paper Doily Find

Looking thru some old stuff I had punched, etc. I found this Paper Doily Sizzlit I had in my stash (125592). The mat is a new Stampin' Up color - Midnight Muse! The little bird is Brand X but very cute. I punched the leaves from SU Build a Bird punch using Garden Green. It was just a quick card from stashed parts!

Twitterpad

I am so glad this designer paper is staying, Twitterpad! It is so pretty. I made this card using Baja Breeze and the NEW Bitty Banners Framelits coming to you June 1! Oh and wait till you use the NEW foam ink pads...you will fall in LOVE! The coverage is unbeatable; can't wait till I can get more of the classic colors.

The stamp set is Language of Friendship also NOT retiring. The white flower underneath is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp set. Thanks for stopping by.

Out with the old - In with the new!

The Cajun Craze 1 1/4" ribbon. The wide ribbon is so neat - sure hope they replace it with some other wide ribbon. The mat is NEW from Stampin Up and will be available in the new catty June 1 - Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper! 'Ain't it prurty?' I used Cajun Craze for the card and Soft Suede for the mat!

Challenge 171 LNS

Yes this is a day late but I wanted to post it anyway. We were challenged to CASE a Hallmark card. I choose this one. I used the super standby Lovely as a Tree! and the wood sheet for the mat. I made mine a Sympathy Card instead of a Father's Day. Mine is a bit darker than the scan. I think I will re-stamp the tree. Thanks for stopping by.

Sneak Peek

Sorry I haven't posted for a while but I have had company all week and not any stampin'! But I promise to get caught up soon!

This is a preview of the new colors and one of the hostess sets from the new catty coming out June 1! Can't wait to see the other sets.  Love the new InColors - these are Summer Starfruit & Gumball Green. SU has introduced some really neat Hostess sets so plan your Workshop for June and earn these sets FREE. The curled technique accents the main feature.
