Ho Ho Santa
This is a quick, simple Santa card! Great for kids to make. Use the 1 1/4 SU punch for the beard and eyebrows, 1 3/8 punch for the mustache, 3/4 nose, 1/2 for the eyes. I used 1" strip of red and 1" strip of crimped white. The ball on his hat is the 1 1/4 covered with Stickles or you could use some glitter. Cheeks are chalked! Just a fun card. We made those when I went to NC to visit my daughter and a couple of my upline ladies.
Well wish me luck! I am doing my first Craft Fair tomorrow at our local church and I am so eager & anxious! I hope I remembered to take everything since I have been over and over the list. I just hope it goes well. That's is why I have not posted much this week, trying to get ready. Sometimes I guess you can over-plan!
Till my next post,

Too Busy!
I am sorry I have not posted but I have been trying to make and get together stuff for my first Craft Fair this coming weekend. I have never done one and I know it will be a good experience. Trying to get everything together has been quite a fun chore but time-consuming. Hope to do better next week! and I will let you know how it goes.
Below are a few things I made last week and wanted to share those with you.
Save those empty ribbon rolls to make the cutest mini-albums. I put the empty roll in the microwave for about 10 seconds to loosen the glue so it would not bend when I took it apart. I measured the top round and used my Cricut to cut the circles for the top and bottom. Then I cut the inside rounds and put together using ribbon. I saw this somewhere a long time ago and just thought it was so cute and I love to use 'scraps'!
I made this for my 'gran-dog' for Christmas! He loves those treats and I used Nestabilities to cut the scallops in front then just made a 'bag' and topper. I used a retired SU Scrappin' Kit. (Early start!)
Thanks for stopping by and I promise to do better next week!

Witches Hat
Tamarra's Stamping Spot posted these darling little witches' hats. SOOOOO thought they would make great birthday handouts so by changing the paper and adding a tassel, Voila' ... You use 1/2 of a 3 1/2" circle and SU's scallop circle punch. Sticky tape works really well to hold all this in place! Opps, the paper I used on mine is DWAV (not SU - shame) and the birthday hats are discontinued designer paper! I'll do better next time. LOL
She has a tutorial on how to make these little hats that fit over a peanut butter cup (Reese's). What a neat Halloween treat for your little gobblins.

'Punchy' Greeting
I used Bitty Basics (Level 1 Hostess Set Fall/Winter '08 Catalog) and mounted them on black cardstock. I stamped each stamp with a different color and framed each one using the matching cardstock. I finished up by adding 2 rows of ribbon for accent. Just and plain and simple card but uses a FULL SET of stamps. The white circles were punched with the 1" round punch and the mats 1 1/4" punch.
I hope you like it.

Two Quick Cards
Two cards I made today from things I had stamped earlier. The Garden Green card was done by applying white craft ink to the embossing folder using my brayer and the Big Shot to emboss the card. I then punched a hole using the dog tag punch from Stampin' Up and stamped my senitment inside it using the stamp-a-ma-jig. The dragonfly is a brad and mounted it on white cardstock (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
The other card was done using the Inspired by Nature Stampin' Up stampset which is a great two-sided stamp that fills the whole background. I used markers to color the flowers, stamped it then put highlights with a white gel pen and markers. The butterfly is a brad and I found in my stash and no idea where they are from! I also sponged the paper using Close to Cocoa.
See what you can do when you clean off your craft table... you find things you can finish up and make something pretty! Have fun...

A Cardinal Christmas
This was in a tutorial by Beate Johns on SCS and it was gorgeous. I love this set and the cardinal is our state bird. It was stamped on Vellum w/ Versamark and black ink and embossed in clear embossing powder. I used Cuttlebug Nesties to cut the ovals. You color the reverse side of the vellum and it is so quick and easy and yet beautiful.
I used paper from I Wish Simply Scrappin' Kit mixed with Chocolate Chip and Old Olive and a touch of Real Red.
Thanks for looking and until my next post,

Mini Album
At our last month's business meeting (SU Little Debbie's) Debbie demonstrated this little mini ablum that they made at Founder's Circle this year. This is a bigger version (5.5 x 5.5) finished. Great gift idea for any occasion or event.I used the Live Like You Mean It stampset (Stampin' Up F/W '08); Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink & So Saffron cardstock. The printed paper is retired. You can put 7 pictures or lots of journaling inside. It is quick & easy but perfect for those special memories!
Thanks for stopping by.

Wolf - another Zindorf knockoff!
She does such fantastic works of art incorporating stamping and imagination beyond cut and paste! She did a card (and tutorial) with a large wolf stamp (an older Stampin' Up retired set). Since I did not have that one, a friend of mine had this smaller version so I used it and followed her tutorial. Great card for the man in your life!
I love the way she creates different backgrounds using stamps, embossing powder, sponging and brayering. You can do so much with most of her designs. The link above will take you to her tutorials. Have fun and enjoy. BTW most of her cards are 5.5x5.5. This one is 4 1/4x5 1/2.
Until next time,

Not just Red & Green
I made this quick card for Christmas just to try the trees. I saw it on someone's blog (can't remember where). You cut the Stampin' Up Scalloped circle into four pieces and use the Word Punch for the trunk. The third tree was put on with dimensionals for that 3D effect. Paper is Baja Breeze and I used a rub on from the Holiday Time Level Three Hostess kit as well as the printed paper. I cut the mat using Big Shots Top Note & accented with Kiwi Kiss Satin ribbon.

Life Is Good
After the past week I'm not sure I would have agreed with the statement (Life is Good) but today - It's a NEW day, NEW attitude & NEW beginnings! (Won't belabor you with details)
I created this card using a left-over piece of cardstock I had used on one of my other cards. I added trees from Lovely as a Tree and embossed them in black. The background is brayered with Summer Sun, More Mustard with touches of Rose Red and the mountains, Hunter Green & Black. The words are also embossed in black. I added the word punches & brads for accent.

Holiday Cards
I am sooooo sorry I have not posted in over a week. Life kinda got in the way! Maybe I can catch up to it one of these days!
These are three cards we made yesterday at my FIRST Stamp-A-Stack which was quite the learning experience! We made a card for Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas and of course, using all Stampin' Up products.
The Halloween card was made using Ghostly Greetings Designer Paper and Black & Kiwi Cardstock; House of Haunts stamp set. This card was CASED from Splitcoast Stampers and I regret I did not get the poster's name so I can't give proper credit. Was a great card.
Thanksgiving uses Really Rust, More Mustard cardstock & Autumn Vine Designer paper available in the NEW Mini-catalog. We used a variety of Stampin' Up markers which are fun, fast & easy!
The Christmas card was Quick and Easy which is a great design if you make your own Christmas cards and have alot to make - Good last minute idea! We used Pacific Blue & Baja Breeze cardstock & ink which are in Stampin' Up's Incolor collection which are only available thru this catalog period. We used the Snow Swirl stamp set and the new Scallop Edge Punch.
Everyone had a really fun afternoon and a 'jump' start on the upcoming holidays!

Big Shot Trials!
I made these three cards from yes, last year's Stampin' Up designer papers just to try my new Big Shot Dies! I finally received them. They were all really quick and easy! SU has some really nice EXCLUSIVE dies for the Big Shot and don't forget you can use your existing Sizzix dies as well. Check it out on my new Stampin' Up website!

Punch and stamp baby top note; Big Shot bird & scalloped circle... tiny pearl eye. I used Riding hood red paper on a 5x5 card. But really quick and simple but I thought an elegant note card. TFL

Pumpkin 'VASE'
I used the Autumn Harvest Stamp Set, 'cut' the top off and made a pumpkin vase. I stamped the 'weeds' from Organic Grace (a Level One Hostess Set). It is mounted on More Mustard with scraps of Autumn Vine DSP. I used punches for the words and a Chocolate Chip strip of scalloped paper. Pretty 'fallish' huh?
