I Love 'Ewe'

Well this one finished up my scraps so I thought I might was well add this one to my blog. You can duplicate this card by using any sheep rubber stamp as well as the Cricut cut-out. The plaid paper was a sheet from Michaels and ribbon by Stampin' Up. I shaded the 'ewe' with chalk to give it dimension then sprayed it lightly with hair spray to set the chalk. Thanks for looking... and have fun 'creating'!

Ewe & Me

I made this card a while back and never posted. The EWE is from Cricut as well as the words! I guess you have noticed by now I have this 'thing' about using my bug but it is so much fun to create any size, shape and color. This card was made using scraps but it just all comes together! Save those scraps 'cause they do come in handy! The checked ribbon is from Stampin' Up. Guess I am homesick and miss my 'hubby' is why I picked this card to share. Enjoy. Happy Scrappin'

Friend Card

I made this using the Saddlery font and using the Sure Cuts Alot program with my Cricut. (sorry it is blurred) The printed paper is retired Stampin' Up and the friend tag made using Stampin' Up's Word Punch and rub on letters. It was just a fun card to make for a friend of mine! I have not used the Sure Cuts Alot program but it is really a neat addition to your Cricut machine. Although Cricut does not support it, it opens alot of opportunity to use clipart and fonts you couldn't before! Thanks for looking. Happy Stampin'

Copic 3D Butterfly

Sorry I have not posted but my life has been extra hectic this week. "Life Happens" Anyway I made this butterfly card today w/ 3 butterflys put together after stamping them on vellum with Stazon and coloring the back with Copic Markers. The large B was cut using the Sure Cuts Alot program and my Cricut. The font was Saddlery which I really like. I added a perky organdy bow for accent. Thanks for looking.

Spring Laughter Card

I saw this card on Jana M's blog (Click Here for Complete Instructions) It is such a neat idea. The finished card fits a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 square envelope. I used Stampin' Up's Designer Paper - Flowers for you; the brad is from the SU Build-A-Brad kit. I used stickles on the flower. TWO mistakes I made and am passing them on to you so you won't do the same... 1- Use cardstock. I used Designer Paper and you really need the heavier paper to stand up. 2- Don't put a flower or brad on the tip top as heavy as I did; it weights down the card. The saying 'Live each day with LAUGHTER' is a little light so you can't see it on the picture very well. The ovals were cut with Cuttlebug and Nestabilities! It was a fun and different kind of card. Thanks Jana for your fresh idea! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Gift Card Holder for Starbucks

My DD needed a card for a Starbucks gift card soooo... I used a Starbucks cozy to make this gift card holder! I used Ginger Blossom Stampin Up designer paper; Stampin Up scallop punch & 1 1/4" punch and a tiny pearl to top off the flower. The punches are on pop dots for added dimension. I used embroidery thread to tie the bottom so the gift card would not slip thru. The strip across was made using a portion of the sea shell embossing folder by first rubbing the 'indented' side of the folder with Coral Cameo classic ink pad then embossing using the Cuttlebug. That puts the ink on the background of the paper. WHAT A GREAT IDEA! Stitched ribbon by Stampin' Up. Quick & Easy but impressive. Have fun making your own gift card holders for any occasion. Happy Stampin' & Scrapin'

Carousel Thank You Card

I used one of the Carousel cards sold in the Stampin' Up mini, layering 3 circles (5.25; 4.74 & 4.25) I used the Embrace Life Stamp for the leaves on the 3rd circle and Thanks was from one of those $1. clear stamps from Michaels. I used the word punch to cut it out and a gold safety pin to attach it to the card. Stitched ribbon by Stampin' Up. I also lined the 6x6 envelope to match. There is plenty of room on the back of the card for your personal note or sentiment. Leaves by Prima (craftersalley.com) and the paper is Stampin' Up Ginger Designer Series. TFL & have a great stampin' day! Nancy

Ruff Day?

I made this card using the Cricut Design Studio so the dog is actually cut out of the middle of the card! Those dogs are soooo cute! What a great card to send someone who needs a 'lift'? Have a great day and happy stampin' Nancy

Carousel Note Card

As you can see again 'left-overs'! I used a carousel round note to make this 'note' holder and all the stickers and insert was left from a retired Scrappin' Kit. I folded over each side; scored and then turned up the bottom and used sticky tape to hold closed and added the slider around the whole card holder. Just another way to use those left-overs! I sticked the inside of the flowers and where the leaf and flower 'hung-over' the side of the card, just rub with a little talc or baby powder and voila NO STICKY. This trick is also good if you want to put your stickers on pop dots. Have a fun day and BE CREATIVE! Nancy

Note Cards

I am trying to use my 'leftover' Scrappin' Kits so I made this set of 4 Note Cards; great for thank you notes; package enclosures, etc. They are 4 x 4 with 4.5x4.5 matching envelopes I made using the Cricut (New Arrivals). I love the Scrappin' Kits, you get so much stuff and by using some extra cardstock you have lots of prints to make cards, add accents to your scrapbook pages and loads of stickers. TFL

Thank You Card

Thank You card using printed paper from a pad I bought at Michaels Handmade Papers. I made a matching envelope as well. The word ' GRATEFUL ' is one of the new felt piecings. Brads & cardstock - Not quite Navy from Stampin' Up. I used 3 layers for that 3D look; organdy ribbon bow by Stampin' Up. Happy Stampin' Nancy

Little Black Box

This little black box I altered using a empty Prima Flower box. It is the perfect size for a gift card or small gift. The top slides off and has a transparent top. The 'jewels' are from 'Say it with Crystals'; ribbon - the $ Store and of course, flowers by Prima (craftersalley.com). TFL

Transparency Box

I worked on scrapbook pages today and this box. I am going to try and update and put more stuff on my Blog today so if you get more than one email that is why. I am not sure how it is sent if you just do updates. I also added a link to the post below for the tutorial making the DAHLIA flower from paper circles! Made this using one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of transparency cut in 1/2. I embossed with the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I tried to get a better picture so you could see the embossing. Anyway, then I cut the cube using Tags, Bags & More (Cricut) to fit the top; cut the cube in 1/2 so you could open the lid like a regular box. Paper was Stampin Up retired Scrappin Kit as well as the stickers. I stickled the inside of the flowers. TFL & Happy Scrappin' Nancy

Love

The flower is created using circles and folding 8 cirles and gluing them to a small circle base! It is called the Dahlia Fold - for directions, click here. Just another cute way to make a flower. Love is a rub-on. I am posting cards I made earlier this year since I have been out of touch with everyone for so long. I will be posting new ones soon. I am just trying to improve and learn about blogging! Everything seems to be a learning experience now and I'm getting to old to absorb all this! ANYWAY... I hope you enjoy looking at the cards and I am working on some new ideas to be posted later! TFL

Infinite Goodness

I used the 'faux wood technique' on this card. Start out using Creamy Caramel for a background and used summer sun; choc. chip and creamy caramel Stampin Spots and rubbed them down the front of the paper then used my Black Stampin marker to draw the lines and nail heads. TFL.

Fast & Easy Flower Card

This card was made using some old Slab paper and I cut a matching flower from Cricut. If I remember correctly about 2" with a black shadow. I made a matching envelope since Martha Stewart says you should ALWAYS make a matching envelope! It was one of those quick and easy cards but it really stands out. I have been trying to use some of the papers I have had for a long time and I have found making a matching envelope and a card uses almost uses up a 12x12 sheet! Just a fun note card. Well I'm off to create something today. Yesterday I made some scrapbook pages for my niece for her Scouting scrapbook for her troop. I will post them later. Remember 'practice makes perfect'! I have not scrapped in a long time so I have to get back into the groove! Happy Scrappin! and thanks for reading my blog! Nancy

Altered Paper Clip Box

I made this using an empty acrylic box that those big black paper clips come in. My DD gets them at work and it just screamed -alter me!- Since the box opens like a regular box I tied the ribbon thru the lid so you would slide the top and bottom off to open it. I used Stampin' Up rub-ons on the lid inside since the surface of the box is a rough texture. Makes a neat and unique gift box! There was really no pattern, just measured as I went along. The patterned paper is retired Stampin' Up but any color combinations would work. Thanks for looking!

Beautiful Butterfly

This is a retired Stampin' Up Stippled Butterfly but I could not resist. I stamped him 4 times and cut 3 out; glued them together to get the 3D effect. I used vellum and my new Copic Markers (they are permanent alcohol ink). He is soooo pretty. TFL

Fabulous 40

I made this card for my DD's birthday!!! I used Cricut to cut the numbers and Stampin' Up Jersey Designer Series paper. It is soooo happy. TFL
