Challenge 223

My kids are all grown up and I don’t have any in school but I do have a strong appreciation for teachers! My club members made this a while back for their teacher gifts so I thought I’d share this with you. I love the Storytime Designer Paper 126907. TODAY is the LAST day you can order it! Have fun with this challenge and Happy Stampin’. This idea is not my original idea so I am not taking credit for it. If the creator will email me, I will be glad to post the proper credit.

Another Recycle

Here's another version of the note holder using an acrylic sachet holder. I thought for your office, the calendar and a place for a picture on the back would work well. I used retiring paper to make this one.

Remember tomorrow is the LAST day to order from the old catalog! I am in the process of cleaning - out with the old and in with the new! Plus I have stuff I will never use so now is a good time to donate to Purple Heart! Try and stay cool... good stampin' weather so you can stay in with the AC!

Until next time!

Special Pet Card

This card was featured on Mary Fish's Blog the other day. Using the small Scallop punch and the small heart framelit you can punch the 'paw'!, add a button for accent. Too cute!

I added some scrap black and white Designer Paper to line the envelope to match! Makes a great pet sympathy card or if someone gets a new pet! Both layers are on dimensions but the scan does not show it well.

Supplies:
Small Scallop Punch 120908
Sweet Essentials Stamp Set 126457
Whisper White Paper 100730
Hearts Collection Framelits Dies 125599
Big Shot Die Cutting Machine 113439
Stampin' Dimensionals 104430

Rainbow Greetings

Yep another special creation by Tanya Bell over at Stampin' T. You can order the pattern from her tutorial site (and very reasonable I might add) and she will also send you the file to cut this with your e-cutter! I used my Silhouette and on her advise cut enough to do 4 cards. These will be great to send get well's, thinking of you, birthday and most any occasion.

It is such a happy design! I made a matching envelope using the Diagonal Score Pad from Stampin' Up. The cardstock is Basic Black, Whisper White and the Dotted Designer Paper completes this project.

Desk Trivia

I was cleaning, yes cleaning, my craft stuff and ran across this business card holder! And thought what a cute thing to put my new granddaughter's picture in for her Mom's desk since she has to go back to work tomorrow!

I used the SU Postage Punch to cut out the picture. I was going to stamp on the white card BUT after I got this in the holder I could not get it out! (it was a tight fit) but it's cute as is. Thanks for stopping by.

Bloomin' Bouquet

After watching the video on how to assemble these lovely flowers, I am hooked. These would make a cheery gift for someone in the hospital, or ill at home, a teacher, loved one or anyone special. They are easy, peasy to make. CLICK HERE  to watch the assembly video.

The kit comes with everything to assemble 13 (a baker's dozen) flowers all you need is the glue and hot glue is recommended! Give it a try. No water or potting soil required!

Shape It

This is a spool card I made using the instructions from the Shape It CD! You can get this great CD with lots of shapes from Technique Junkies blogspot. CLICK HERE TO ORDER your CD today!

Crumb cake is the base of the spool stamped with Woodgrain Background Stamp (retiring). I used Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon also retiring to wrap around the spool.  The scissors were cut from my Silhouette and I lined the envelope with Summer Smooches Designer Paper. Too cute!

Challenge 223 & Sneak Peek

Challenge 223
Teacher Appreciation Gifts

This week is all about thanking those amazing people who spend countless hours each day working with our children. We want to let them know how much we appreciate all their hard work. Believe me I taught a one week class for my work and OH, how much more I appreciated the teachers that do that every day!!!
I used this sneak peek at the new paper from Stampin' Up called Quatrefancy Specialty Designer Paper 130141 for one of the holders and Sunshine & Sprinkles 126922 Designer Paper for the other with Rose Red as the mats. You will be able to check it out soon in the new catalog - June 1 we can all order it! I used Strawberry Slush as the base and backdrop. One added feature you can put a picture in the back.
I used an acrylic sachet holder (recycled) as the base! Love that recycling!

Bottle Cap Art

I made these key chains and book mark using the Stampin' Up Bottle Caps. (Soda Pop Tops - 129388 - Pg. 24 in the current mini catalog) You get assorted large and small caps. The 1/2" punch fits the small ones perfectly and the 1 inch punch fits the larger cap.

And as you remember, you can run these thru your Big Shot and flatten them for a different look. After adding your embellishment, cover with Crystal Effects for that added touch.

Honeycomb Cards

These are two cards I quickly made using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder 129378 from Stampin Up. I cut the hexagons on one card by hand and on the other I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a 3/4" hexagon and it worked great!

The Designer Paper is retired but I was just playing to see if it would work. Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time!

Strawberry Fields

Jake, Stephanie & PawPaw went strawberry picking Monday. It was such a beautiful day too. Jake loves strawberries but he's getting camera shy and just won't show that great smile! Guess it's the age.

Faux Paint Swatches

I KNOW, I KNOW - this is NOT the Technique of the Week that Jane introduced to you on Monday, the 6th. Well let me explain, I don't have the Copic Air Brush system so I am going with this technique, Faux Paint Swatch as seen in our April/May Technique Junkies Newsletter.

It is fun, quick and easy but makes a fantastic background. I used Not Quite Navy (retiring), Marina Mist & Wild Wasabi Stampin' Up Classic Ink and the Best of Butterflies Stamp 133345 & matching Butterfly punch and Secret Garden Stamp Set 129144 with corresponding Framelits.

I hope you like my 'technique' and give it a try.

Sneak Peek w/ a Technique

Hello Ladies: It sure has been a dreary day here in central Virginia. But I tried to make a 'cheerful' card. I received some sad news this am and I'm trying to move on!!! ANYWHO... here is my card using the technique Snippits, from the April/May, 2013 Technique Junkie Newsletter.

This is also an introduction to the new Washi Tapes from Stampin' Up that will be in the new catalog beginning May 31! Washi Tape is semi-transparent and used as an embellishment for any project. I used the stamp set, Secret Garden and the Framelits that go with it.

Until next time!

Another Sneak Peek

Another Sneak Peek at some of the new Stampin' Up items. This is the Wildflower Meadows Stamp Set 129368 that has a 'matching' embossing folder 129376. I used a card base of Raspberry Ripple accented with Primrose Petal.

I hope the picture shows the embossed look! Another great find! This stamp is the size of a background stamp. Can't wait for the new catalog (June 1), Stampin' Up has some great new ideas for you!

Until next time!
