The 'Grinch'

My DD sent me this from Pinterest! and so I had to make one. BUT of course I can't find green Tic Tacs in this town sooooo I used orange ones till I can find the right ones. The wrapper holds a Big Tic Tac container. Sorry the picture is blurry but you can see the idea!

Garden Green CS is cut 3 1/4 x 5 and scored at 2 1/4 and 2 3/4. I punched a hole in the middle and tied with 1/4" stitched Real Red Ribbon (15")!

The Poem reads:
Feeling kinda grouchy!
Holiday spirit can't be found!
Just try these little 'Grinch Pills"
They're the best medicine around.
Whether eating a whole handful
Or munching one or tow,
These tasty little 'pills'
Take the "Grinch" right
out of you!

TOO CUTE! CLICK HERE for the original post on Pinterest! Hers is cuter and has a template for the packaging.

Until next time!

Winter Watercolor

Lucky Limeade is the base for this card. The next layer is the Core'dinations embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing folder and sanded a bit!

The spacing may not be the greatest BUT I picked up the white piece and of course I had Red ink on my fingers so I had no choice but it turned out OK!

The stamp set is Winter Watercolor 129727 and the Ribbon Slider 127834 adds a touch of elegance.

Thanks for stopping by and comments are always welcome!

Get Well

What a clever card? It is a tiny tissue box with a tissue in it for your 'get well wishes'! The Domestic Goddess Designer Paper is retired but the Calypso Coral and Pool Party cardstock is current. I saw this card and just had to try one! (can't remember where). The matching brad adds a bit of accent and was an after thought so it's not well-placed (next one)!

YEAH! I found the URL: CLICK HERE FOR the directions!

Might be worth getting sick just to get such a great card! Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time!

Ribbon Keyring

I was finally able to make on of these cute ribbon keyrings introduced by Pinterest featuring Tanya Bell from Australia. She has super instructions on her blog as well as a YouTube video.

It is such a neat gift (stocking stuffer type)! Easy to make. Hers is much prettier than mine but I will make more of these!

The base is made using the Raspberry Ripple stitched ribbon and the leaves are Gumball Green stitched ribbon. My flower is lots smaller than the sample OR my bottom petals are not close enough together... Anywhooo practice makes perfect so off to try again!

Challenge 200

Challenge 200
Favorite Christmas Colors

This week we want you to use your favorite Christmas colors on your project. You do not have to use traditional colors as this is your favorite colors to use this year. You can make a card, scrapbook page, 3D item, or whatever else you can come up with.

Need some inspiration? Check out the design team samples HERE

Once you get your creation completed you can upload it HERE

I think my favorite color for Christmas is Night of Navy!

The top card was made with Northern Hearts Hostess Stamp Set (retired) and Night of Navy with a Whisper White background and a touch of 1/8 inch taffeta ribbon.

The next card fits a standard business envelope. I used the Elegant Bird Bigz 125593 die cut from computer paper and then sponged the bird in Night of Navy. The leaf is from the French Foliage 121166 stamp set and the sentiment from Curly Cute 120510. The card base is Night of Navy and the mat is River Rock

Now it is your turn!  Enjoy!

Hybrid Daisies

This is the first time in a LONG time I have made a hybrid card using My Digital Studio. I used the Sweet Daisies stamp to create the daisy and a button for the center. I printed 4 - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 on one sheet and then cut them out and layered them using Dimensionals and Night of Navy as a base.

Punching the scallop oval and 3 sets of leaves (from the Build a Bird Punch) then 3 small scallops, snipped making the cute little accent for this any occasion card. I also added a sliver of the daisies I had left from trimming on the inside.
Makes a great note card, birthday, get well or any occasion.

Thanks for stopping by and all comments are much appreciated!

Coffee Cozy

Here's your Santa Coffee Cozy! Just a cute little thing to make for those coffee addicted friends! I used the Scallop Edge Punch 119882 and the Decorative 120907 Label punch - the belt is 1/2" and the square was punched from the 3/4" square punch. What a great stockin' stuffer!

A little behind, huh? Well thought I would share my scrapbook pages of Jake's Halloween that I finally was able to finish up tonight. He's just growin' up too fast!

Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow with friends and family. Be sure to be thankful for your many blessings!

Masking!

This masking technique is gorgeous! I found it on Ann's Stamping World. Super easy tutorial (thanks, Ann) and beautiful in any color. I used the Lovely as a Tree 127739 Stampin Up set that is sure to become a classic. If you don't have this set now is the time to order it.

The card base is Midnight Muse (one of the new InColors) and stamped, sponged with the same.
Now get INKY!

Glittery Santa

Super tag or card! This glittery Santa was posted on Valita's Fresh Folds and featured in Paper & Pixel e-zine. He was just too cute to resist.

I didn't have the dies Valita had to make him soooo I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut him out using an ornament image I purchased! It worked out great and I just love him. I think I'll make a lot more of him. Thanks, Valita. (she is amazing with punches)

Christmas White

This white/black card was inspired by Mary Brown! I used the Holiday Ornaments Framelit 127816 - embossed using Vintage Wallpaper 120175 Embossing folder. Paper piercing around the ornament was made easy by using the Festive Paper Piercing Pack 127857. The  Scallop Dotted 124145 Ribbon accents this easy, yet stunning card design.

Whisper White is the base double matted with Basic Black. Mixed Medley Hostess 128057 set was used to pop the ornament adhered with Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Please leave me some hugs (comments). They are always appreciated.

Until next time!

Thanksgiving Treats

This little 'owl' turkey is so cute. I noticed it on Pinterest. If you are not a member you should consider joining. There are sooooo many ideas, you get dizzy trying to remember them all!

(This is Jake after a BLUE Lollipop!)

I am thinking about making these for my grandson's preschool. It is attached to a Rice Crispie Treat! Super cute!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a little comment if you please!

Cider Weather

Now that it is getting cooler outside, cider comes to mind. This card was made using the Perfectly Preserved 126692 Stamp Set and Cannery Framelits 127822 and the Orchard Harvest Designer Paper 126895 on a background of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I added a stick of cinnamon. AND BTW if you get cinnamon, I got 7 sticks in a tiny jar at Walmart for $5.28. Believe me I was shocked at the price. BUT it is cute anyway.  The inside contains a packet of Apple Cider!

Makes a great Thanksgiving keepsake at your big 'turkey' dinner!

Challenge 198

Challenge 198
Pinterest Case
This challenge was a little different for me. I am a member of Pinterest but rarely have time to look (too much stuff to look at)! LOL BUT I did manage to be inspired by this simple yet elegant card. The one on Pinterest was a sympathy but I needed a Get Well.

You still have time to play along - let's see what you can do!

This week we want you to take all the cards, scrapbook pages, and projects you have pinned on Pinterest and CASE them. Show us the card you chose to case and your version of the card. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE THE ORIGINAL CREATOR CREDIT when known!

Need some interest? Check out the design team samples HERE

Once you get your CASE completed you can upload it HERE

Mini Tote Gift Box

I ran across this cute little box on Dawn Olchefske's blog. Too CUTE! It will hold 2 or 3 of the little fun size candy bars and can be adapted to any occasion. The best part it only takes a half sheet of cardstock. I used Crumb Cake and randomly stamped it with Early Expresso and using the Watercolor Winter stamp set. 129727. All you need is a tag and you're good to go. What a great treat box for a child's classroom or just any one you want to give a small remembrance gift.

I hope to get some stamping done today. This week, life has just gotten in the way!

Megan

Black and white really makes this classy photo pop! I used the Silhouette to cut the letters for Megan's name on this Basic Black & Basic Gray Stampin' Up cardstock 8 x 8 scrapbook page. My Digital Studio was used to create the printed designer paper.

Vote, Vote, Vote...

Don't forget to vote! I hate to admit it but this is the first time I have ever voted! (and I'm old)... But it's time for everyone needs to speak up for what they believe!

Anyway... This was a cute angel I saw on Cindee Wilkinson's Blog and had to make one. It is so cute. I have been looking for something to make for my WMU group at church and this will be perfect! Thanks for sharing Cindee. The instructions are on her website and it is so easy and quick to make. I didn't have a pearl to use for the head so i just used a little styro ball but I plan on getting some pearls for the heads.

You use the Large Scallop Circle Die, Doily Sizzlit and the 2 3/8" scallop punch; cut in 1/2!

Great gift and/or ornament for your tree. Would also make a cute package topper and if you use place cards for your Christmas table, the name could be on the back of the wings!

Pumpkin Pride finished

Please see yesterday's post. I did finally get some pictures on the pages and we had our Scrapbooking Class last night and the layout was a success! I think they had more fun carving than anything. Jake wanted to carve the only pumpkin I had left today but I explained to him it was for Thanksgiving and I am sure he didn't understand a word of it.

His pumpkin is #1!

Have a great weekend; thanks for stopping by and comments are always appreciated! BTW don't forget the time change tonight.

Pumpkin Pride

Papa and Jake carved pumpkins the other day and this is the perfect layout. This will be the pages we make for our Scrapbooking night - Friday! When I add the pictures, I will repost these pages.

These pages could be used for Thanksgiving, Halloween, The Pumpkin Patch visit or carving!

Hope everyone had a safe Halloween. Don't forget to include all the Sandy victims in your prayers!
