Onion, anyone?

Believe it or not this card was made using onion skins! It is one of the Technique Junkie's techniques from WAY BACK. It seems to match the wheat! I saw the onion on my kitchen counter and just couldn't resist. The CS is Crushed Curry & Dusty Durango. Don't you just love the new colors AVAILABLE tomorrow! What a way to recycle. I have been really busy and not posted in a few days. Hope to get some new stuff ready to post this week. Life just keeps happenin' Am having punch class tonight which is my first one. Hope it goes well. Will post the samples tomorrow. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Baby Gift

I made this quck baby gift by making 2 boxes and joining them with a strip of 4 x 11 for a handle. The backside is exactly like the front except it has q-tips and wet ones in it. I just love the new DSP. The gift is for a baby boy and they are decorating the nursery in animals. The boxes were cut from an 8 x 6 strip of Old Olive and scored on all sides 2" in. Easy, Peasy! This is my 'sample'; I will work out some more ways to decorate! Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Printed Bargello

I had three strips of this paper (Rainbow Sherbet) left and figured well... I love the combo for this bargello card. I hated to see it go! Anyway I have been fighting Internet issues all day and now I have no email. Hope it is fixed soon. The butterflies are the SU butterfly die but the little one is a Cuttlebug die. After I finished it I noticed I had turned on strip the wrong way but hey, it's a craft not an heirloom (LOL). Thanks for stopping by. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Challenge 75

This is Mary Jo's Challenge for this week. I used Tall Tales new Designer Paper, Brilliant Blue (and buttons) and Old Olive paper. The stamp is retiring and I wanted to use it once more; it's attached with Dimensionals. Love the sketches which takes 1/2 the 'work' out of designing a card! Follow this link and PLAY ALONG! and she has BLOG CANDY too! Happy Stampin'

Flower Pot Post - A - Note

We made flower pot cards today and Saturday at our Monthly Stamp Club and one lady (This is for you, Kay) suggested a post a note flower pot for the refrig. Well Voila' here ya go! The card slides out like on the card ones with a message for the recepient. What a great gift for a teacher, Mother, Grandmother or friend! Until Next Post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Bargello (Another)

This actually was the first Bargello technique that I tried. I just reached in my scrap drawer and picked colors but I just couldn't throw it away so I decided to make this card. The flower is a Daisy Die from Stampin Up and the ribbon is Crushed Curry (a new InColor). The technique is so much fun. Until Next Post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Bargello

Another technique card using Bargello! from Technique Junkies Newsletter. You are supposed to stamp a background on the colored strips BEFORE you cut and place ... Well I forgot to do that. Actually this is the 3rd time I have forgotten to do it so I just went with this one without a background. I used the Lexicon of Leaves stamp on a piece of homemade vellum and colored it from the back with the new SU InColors! The cardstock is Dusty Durango, Soft Suede & Crushed Curry! SAS for June

These are my Stamp A Stack cards for June (June 27). The Congrats card was done based on the Sale-A-Brations stamp set and could be congratulations for lots of occasions. To Have and To Hold is retiring but it was a great stamp set! This card can be made using all colors; bashful blue, so saffron, certainly celery or any pastel. The Anniversary card A Perfect 'Pear' both stamp sets are retired but it makes such a cute card. I have one SAS a month and we just get together and have lots of fun and build our card stash! July's SAS will be all NEW stamp sets and DSP! Until Next Post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Mary Jo's Challenge 73

I am not sure I did this challenge right but anyway I love the new paper and am really lovin' the new circle scissors. They are so easy to use! Hope you like the lion from Glenda Mallot's post on Beate's Message Board. He is soooo cute. TFL CORRECTION! First - This was Challenge #74 Secondly, I CASED the lion from Glenda 'Mollet' not Mollot! My bad, because I know a gal named Mollot! Sorry Glenda and her blog can be visited CLICK HERE. She is a very talented and nice person! Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Double Buggin'

I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders to create this card. After embossing with one, I lightly rubbed ink over the raised image and then impressed it with another embossing folder! What a cool effect. I wanted to use an accent stamp and just could not decide which one so I used the small oval and punched the card and then used the scallop punch as a mat and glued it right over where I punched it out. Understand? Boy is that confusing! Thanks for looking, Until Next Post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Faux Vellum

Believe it or not I made the faux vellum using regular printer paper and baby oil! Ain't it GRAND? The stamp set is new from SU and will be in the July catalog! I brayered the card underneath using the new SU InColors. This is another technique from Technique Junkies. I am just loving the newsletter! You should try it... There is a messageboard and a great group of talented ladies! I even dyed the ribbon using the Dusty Durango reinker. You will just fall in love with the new colors! And I used Copics to color the bards to match! Until next post, Happy Stampin & Scrappin

Stamping411

I made this card using a Technique Junkie Drywall stitching and for the Stamping411 Challenge. I used Razzleberry Lemonade new designer Paper and Crushed Curry cardstock. I am falling in love with these new colors! TFL Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Note 'Top Note' Holder

What a great gift! I saw this on Inking Idaho's website and just had to CASE it. I used the same paper she did which used all of one package of Parisian Breeze. I really hate to see that paper go. I love it. Anyway since I did not have any mini-envelopes I cut mine from Cricut using the Alphalicious cartridge (3 1/2). They are sandwiched between Top Note Die cuts accordion style then I taped each envelope together just in the middle to keep it together. I made 6 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 whisper white note enclosure cards and decorated them with the scraps from Parisian Breeze! Voila' you have a nice gift for someone and they have note enclosure cards in the nicest packaging! Thanks for sharing, Becky. Until next time, Happy Stamping' & Scrappin'

Technique Junkies

I recently joined Technique Junkies and received several newsletters! Check it out if you are in the market for trying new and different things. I made these cards today using just a few of the techniques available as a member. Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them. All cards were done with SU products and lots of new InColors. Just love 'em more & more. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

One Sheet Mini-Album

Our last scrapbook class, we made 5 mini-albums out of one sheet of paper (each)! This is one of the designs using a 12 x 12 sheet of Tall Tales Designer Paper and the Tall Tales Stamp Set. This is not the sample we used in class. I made this yesterday so I could show my gals a different kind of look. These a fun to make and great for a specific occasion or event. Each page has a little pocket and the finished size is 4 x 3. Pockets can hold journaling, pictures, memorabilia or whatever. I made mats for all the pages to slide into the pockets. Thanks for stopping by, until next time... Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Zindorf CASE!

This was one of the most challenging cards I have done in quite sometime! Michelle posted one similar about a week ago. OK - I over brayered the sun before I remembered to put the mask; then I got 2 spots on it thus I stamped the bird. She had stamped the daisies in black after embossing the green ones. WELLLLL I tried that one and really didn't like it and boy does black smear! So I started over and decided NOT to put the black on it. THEN in the meantime, I got a black smudge under the little bow that's why it ended up with a little bow to cover it up. It was just one of those, gotta try it but it does not look like hers so this one is mine! You all know how it goes sometimes. It was her tutorial # 214 but believe me you may not be able to recognize it. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Camping Coaster Fun

This is like the June Project! I made the box using square (4x4) coasters and used natural hemp to tie them together. The cello bag has 1/2 a chocolate bar, 2 graham crackers & 3 marshmallows! I've never had a smore but they look pretty good. I used 3 retired camping sets to simply stamp each coaster with camping designs - didn't even have to color them! Just thought it was cute. Green, Green, Green

Yes everything is really green with all the rain we have had and when this is posted to my blog my first SU order will be here with lots of NEW stuff! Can't wait like Christmas in June! Anyway back to the card, I used Green Galore, Glorious Green (not my fav color), Gable Green to creat this card. I stamped the leaves from Embrace Life (also retiring) in all these colors for a background, added some ribbon and matching buttons. Colorful Thank You card! Another Gray Day Project

Again it rained all day! This is a great masculine Thank You card and I used my last scrap of gray designer paper. I brayered the Argyle Texture plate and ran it thru the Big Shot for added depth to the mat. Again I used the car from the Father's Day retiring stamp set. The car was lightly colored with SU markers and spritzed with black. Until Next post Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Celebrate

My cyber friend, PJ Browne, sent a RAK to me with this piece of 'fishy' paper since she knew my hubby loves fishing. Well I made my son (who also loves fishing) this birthday card using her paper. It is so appropriate. Thanks for the RAK again. Until next post Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

'Gloomy' Day Card

You can probably figure it rained all day and the weather was soooo gloomy! I found this gray sheet I had stamped a long time ago and used it as the mat then I found the acrylic butterfly I had probably stamped at the same time so I just made a Gloomy Gray card! Little pearls accent the butterfly and I used black flower stamen for the antenna! My friend bought the Father's Day stamp and I had stamped a page of watering cans and decided not to add color and just make this all gray & black. I guess the weather does affect your ideas sometimes! LOL It still makes a nice note card! Thanks for stopping by! Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

CD Mailing Album

This album was made using 2 CD mailers. I bought 2 cases of them last year to make albums with my club memebers and have some leftover so I made this using two cd mailers. I saw one made with 2 instead of 3 on another blog and of course I can't remember where! (gotta start writing this stuff down) Anyway you cut a 10 x 5 piece of cardstock or designer paper and adhere the two mailers together and decorate any way you want. Then there are pockets for pics or journaling. Great gife or great mini-album for a theme. I utilized lots of Big Shot Dies - envelope, daisy, scallop circle and even a few punches! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'
