Miss Josie painting rocks

Miss Josie loves to paint rocks. So after a movie, the Wizard of Oz, she and MOM painted rocks! It was a fun and crafting day.

I thought the background paper was so cheerful! I even left a place for journaling.

Enjoy your day!

Until next time!

Under the Sea

Under the Sea Framelits were the feature of this card. My stampin' friend wanted me to try self sticking fun foam. I didn't have any so I used the Sizzix Adhesive Sheets on the back of some fun foam and it WORKED!

Island Indigo is the base and one of the older blues is the mat. I stamped and cut the octopus then mounted him with Dimensionals. I really like the fish netting framelit. The school of fish and the two 'weeds' are out of fun foam! It's a different card than I usually make but OK.

Hope you like it and have a great day!

Until next time!

Another Graceful Glass Card

I was just playing around with the different colors and ended up with this card. If you experiment with the different papers to go under the Graceful Glass after you color it, you will find lots of variations.

Old Olive is the base then I backed the two Graceful Glass sections with Lemon Lime Twist! Worked out great! I then used the new Daffodil Delight 1/8" grosgrain ribbon as an accent. The sentiment is from the A Acrony Thank You Stamp Set punched with the Pretty Label Punch and I trimmed down the top and bottom edges.

Until next time have a great day!

Graceful Glass

These sheets are totally gorgeous. You get two each of 12 designs. The front looks like the joints have been embossed. You color the back and it creates a stunning embellishment for cards and scrapbook pages.

I colored the backside of the vellum with the new Stampin Up Blends and mounted it to a piece of Pool Party so you don't have to color each section. The card base is Marina Mist (retired) with the side embossed with the Petal Pair Embossing folder.

This card would make a lovely Sympathy card, Get Well card, Birthday card or just a note card depending on the sentiment inside.

Until next time have a blessed day and try to stay dry!

Beautiful You

Beautiful You was carried over from the Occasions mini and is so feminine. This card has a Whisper White base with a Bermuda Bay mat from the Magical Designer Paper Series with a Photo corner on the right side.

I cut the girl out and then lined the reverse with Smokey Card Stock and then placed the girl on Dimensionals to give the card some dimension. I added Bermuda Bay rain drops from the retired Umbrella Stamp Set. I do like the way she turned out! Her dress and umbrella was colored with the Light Bermuda Bay Blends.

Shaving Creme!

Years ago the Shaving Creme technique was all the rage. It has since died down some but I found this piece of paper I did years and years ago and the Congrats. I ran the Congrats mat thru the Big Shot using the new Subtle Embossing Folder. BTW that folder makes your paper look like the textured paper Stampin Up carried.

Then I punched the mass of stars on the side and with Dimensionals adhered it to the Shave Creme mat. It was accented using the NEW Faceted Dots from SU -146910.

In case you haven't tried this technique - all you do is line a shallow foil pan with shaving creme then dot different colors of ink on top and using a skewer marble the colors a bit. Lay a sheet of card stock on top making sure it is coated all way; remove it and wipe off all the shaving creme leaving only the colors. Let the card stock dry manually or use a heat gun and you are ready to go!

Tri-Fold Birthday Card

This whimsical card is a tri-fold card. It can be used for any occasion with different papers. I love the design which I saw on Pinterest.

Been thinking we might make this in the next Stamp A Stack! It was a fun card to make and not difficult. Let me hear your opinions.

I guess you noticed I am trying to use some of the retired Designer Series Papers and I really like this paper too. Oh BTW it folds to fit a standard envelope (4.25 x 5.5). I added some crystal/glitter dots for accent.

House Calls

This is the house stamp that is in the Pop On By Stamp Set (146641). The matching die has the Pop Up house in it. There are a lot of possibilities for this set.

This is the first time I have brayered in years so I really need to get back into it. It's a fun technique and makes a lovely sky and foreground. Anyway this is a great set and I hope you will try it.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Impossible Card

I saw this on Lilly Stamps video and had to try it. It is an interesting card but very simple to make. When finished it folds to fit a regular size envelope.

The base is Mossy Meadow (4.25 x 5.5) and the Designer Paper is Share What You Love as well as the stamp set for the flowers! I did add a piece of white paper on the back for any note you might want to send.

Love it. You must give it a try. Email me for the directions or we will do this one at our next Stamp A Stack in July! Any papers would make this card easy for any occasion.

Have a great day!

Until next time!

Blueberry Pickin'

Miss Josie and her mom went Blueberry pickin' at Seaman's Orchard the other day. Josie seems to be enjoying it but I don't think she even likes Blueberries!

Stephanie shared with us and I made some Jello and added the berries. I must say it is quite tasty!

Thank you for stopping by and comments are always welcome.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Mini-Pencil Desktop Holder

This being my first attempt, I used some retired designer paper, Wintergreen with Pool Party and Sage Shadow (retired). It is so very cute and would make a great addition to anyone's desk or counter top!

It would make a good gift item or an addition for personal use. It is made up of 5 varied size boxes in one tray. Hope you like it.

Until next time have a blessed day!

Miss Josie's Shoes

My daughter, Stephanie and her daughter, Josie made these tennis shoes using Sharpies and Alcohol (the rubbing kind)! They really turned out nice. Now they have matching shoes.

It is such a neat idea for a craft. You color with the Sharpie and then take alcohol and drop it on to the shoe and the ink sets and runs a bit to make a neat pattern.

Comments welcome!

Until next time have a blessed day!

Life is a beautiful thing

Using the new Stampin Up Designer Paper Love What You Do. I used the new framelits, Stitched Labels Framelits. The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons and YES I used a piece of retired ribbon to help accent.

I also added Share What You Love Artisan pearls that matched the paper. The card base is Grapefruit Grove. I hope you enjoyed this card and fall in love with the framelit set!

Until next time!

Varied Vases

This Varied Vases card was made using the Varied Vases Bundle created by Stampin' Ups very own, Mary Fish. She is one of the few $1,000,000.00 sales persons!

This was a Pinterest Pick BTW. I used the Love What You Do Designer Paper for the mat and Rich Razzleberry for the base. Black outlines the center and the sentiment. It's a must-have set for your collection. Oh also I had to alter (cut them down the a few of the vases 'cause I didn't measure correctly and they were too tall)

Until next time!

Circles of fun!

One of my stampin' friends sent this from pinterest. I had to try it. It was a fun card to make. Be sure you tape your circle framelits together before cutting.

I used paper, Mint Macaron, Designer Paper from the Love What You Do Bundle. Also the little pearls in the flower center. The flower punch is retired but you can use any small flower punch. Love it! Thanks, CD.

Until next time!

Lovely...

Again - another thing I found while cleaning off my table. Thought I would go ahead and put this one together. The base is Daffodil Delight with matching stitched ribbon.

The Lovely Framelit is cut from Watercolor paper. The butterfly accent has three rhinestones for the body! There is also an extra butterfly inside. Enjoy! The Designer Paper has long been retired.

Again a bit early...

While cleaning off my tables I found these components and decided no time like the present. I cut them to make a card last year and set them aside and forgot about them. I love the colors and the dies (now retired) but still useful.

The base is Night of Navy and I put Gold Foil behind the stars and Garden Green behind the trees. After cutting the little houses, I add gold behind them too and a piece of watercolor paper snow.

Thanks for stopping by. I guess I am getting a head start on Christmas!

Until next time!

Very Vintage

Very Vintage is one of the new Hostess Sets you can earn by having a party or having a catalog party. It's a great set.

I used Gorgeous Grape to color the dainty flowers and added rhinestones and hearts for accent. The card is mounted on a mat - so the white card opens!

Glad you stopped by and have a great day! Comments are always welcome.

Cherries - Page 2

This is the scene in the kitchen making her (Stephanie's) first homemade from scratch pie. I must say she did a really good job. She even brought us a piece!

Miss Josie helped pit the cherries. I even left a place for journaling about the day.

Cherry Pickin'

Miss Josie, mom and dad went cherry pickin' Saturday at Seaman's Orchard. The cherries were 'ripe' for pickin' and Miss Josie really enjoyed it.

Stay tuned tomorrow for the pie-making.

Graceful Garden

Well, ladies, this was my second attempt to color this card with the SU colored pencils.  I did one that turned out coral colored BUT I tried to shadow it and it was undoubtedly the ugliest card I have ever made. I threw it away. (Rarely do I throw them away). BTW the black specs on the scan are on my scanner glass (need to clean it); not on the card.

This is a single layer card and I love the rose from the Graceful Garden Stamp Set. I want to try one later using the Blends. Maybe for tomorrow! Have a great day and stamp on...

A bit early...

I know it is really early but Sunday I was cleaning out a box of stuff I had cut or made and not used and found this beautiful dove. It actually is FOIL (GOLD) but the scan makes it black. The dove is a few years old from Stampin Up.

The mat is Very Vanilla and the dove on Whisper White and then adhered with Dimensionals! The card base is black.

I just wanted to make it up before it was lost in the shuffle. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time!
