Technique Thursday

Check it out! This is a quick and easy technique featured in the August 2012 Technique Junkie Newsletter. It's called Cut Circle but I put a different twist and used an oval but it still has a neat presentation.

The front is embossed with clear embossing powder which gives a rich-looking effect! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge 211
Happy Birthday

This week is all about 'birthdays', we all have them and all enjoy creating for them so let's share them this week!  Create a card, scrapbook page, 3D item, or anything else you like that can be used to celebrate birthdays.

The LateNightStamper's Challenge Blog
Come on over and play along with us.

I  used only scraps for this card. I cut lots of circles with the Silhouette and had the black background left over so I used it, punched the flowers and leaves. I love to use up things just lying around. and YES I smeared the glitter on the middle of the flower. I always do, every time I use it! ENJOY and come play along! We can always use a birthday card.

Unique Delivery

What a way to package a gift? Love the idea. Saw one on Pinterest sometime ago so no reference. Make your next bag from newspaper. Generally we discard them anyway, line the birdcage or burn in the wood stove so why not recycle!
I needed quick packaging for my daughter's shower today! So...

Just Smile

I found all the 'ingredients' for this quick card on my table when I was cleaning it up (believe it or not)! So I thought I would put it together. I did cut the Cherry Cobbler with one of the Label Framelit dies. The background is Basic Black and the card is accented with an Antique Brad!

I thought it came together nicely. Enjoy and come back often. Now go get inky!

Punch Doggie

This little doggie was on a onesie my grandson had a long time ago. I punched him out to make a card but never used it.

I have been really busy the last two days cleaning my craft room and had a class today! BUT I wanted to make a card to share and he popped right up! Love to make cards with things I did a while back.

I used Real Red as a base and a sheet from Festival of Prints 126904 for the mat. The greeting is Cross My Heart 126582 and fits nicely to make a juvie birthday card. There are lots of possibilities on baby clothes.

Stop by often and please leave a comment. Thank you!

Love Sick Birdie

Another great creation from Valita's Designs & Fresh Folds. Follow this link (CLICK HERE) and she has given us all the punches! It was just to darn cute to pass up! I did use the Scallop heart which is the largest in the Heart Framelits.

Valentine Surprise

Jake and I made this for his mom today for Valentine's. As most of you know Jacob is 3-year old grandson! and is growing up too fast. He seems to love crafts and glue and scissors, etc. as most kids do. You can put a candle in it OR the Glade candles fit that come in the glass jar as well.

He also stamped a card for her (lots and lots of times).

Dry Erase

My DD told me about these dry erase type boards people were making to teach kids the alphabet, etc. so I made this one for my grandson. I printed his name, numbers on one side with the Upper Case Alphabet. On the inside lid the Lower Case Alphabet is printed. He can write on top of the letters and numbers and then wipe it clean with the alcohol swabs OR a paper towel or soft cloth!

What a fantastic idea. I used the Stampin' Up clear stamp cases and the thin Dry Erase markers are from Walmart. What a great gift for a child and a super way to learn how to print! For the older child you could do them in cursive! and put their home address and phone number so they could also learn that too. (I smeared his middle and last name for web-reasons). What a fantastic idea for a road trip to keep little hands busy.

You can order the cases online at my SU website (CLICK HERE) and go to SHOP NOW!

Vintage Hexagon Album

I saw this great hexagon mini album on Julie's Blog but no pattern. I used my Silhouette Cameo to design and cut this album. Worked like a charm. What a great brag book or gift or for personal use! Hexagon's are really in these days. I also cut a template so I would be able to cut my pictures for a perfect fit. The album will hold 10 pictures nicely.

Enjoy! Thanks Julie for the inspiration. To get an idea of size the complete printed album was cut from a 12 x 12 sheet of paper (sorry not SU - but it was my practice run)!

Just Married...

this morning. How happy they are!

I saw a version of this on Pinterest but here's mine! Hope you like it. I love the envelope idea and another way to use the die. The car is Rich Razzelberry and the card is 5.5 x 5.5. I used a piece of the polka-dot DSP as a mat and the Just Married was printed. The bride and groom was manipulated in MDS so they are seen thru the window!

Be sure and stop by often! Have a great day and stay warm. It is sunny in Central Virginia today.

My Digital Studio (MDS)

One of my customers pointed out we had not made any wedding cards lately so I came up with this one for a quick, easy, peasy card made using My Digital Studio. The image is Wedding Wheels and the sentiment is from Wedding Sweet. I used the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folder 129383 for the row of X's for dimension and added two punched red glimmer hearts as accent.

Oh BTW the Whisper White was cut 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 and added to the 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Basic Black mat.

Hope you like it! Leave me some 'love' to let me know. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Dirtday!

Good Morning Ladies! I made this card using the I Dig You 122127 Stampin Up stamp set! What a cute kids card! It is so bright an cheery, super birthday card!

Textured Impressions Embossing Folders 129383 add dimension to the top and bottom of the card from the new mini catalog. The background paper is one of the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack 129312 from the same catalog. Gumball Green and Midnight Muse cardstock completes the card with 3 Old Olive brads as accent.

Happy Stampin! All comments are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks for stopping by.
