Carousel Note Card

Using SU's carousel note card for a base I used stickers from a SU's discontinued Scrappin' Kit. Seems you always have loads of stickers leftover! I stickled the big flower and added a big button for accent. I love the combination of colors and one good thing about the kits, matching colors with Stampin' Up made easy! This one started out rather 'blah' and with some great advise from my internet stampin' friends, it ended up much improved. Thanks for stopping by and remember... Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Song In My Heart

I have fallen in love with those Cuttlebug embossing folders. What a great card for the music lover! The die cuts are Cricut and the printed paper was from the $1. store. I made a matching envelope using the printed paper for the inside and embossing the flap on the envelope w/ the music embossing folder. Real Red, Black & Whisper White card stock are Stampin' Up. The mat was embossed at the top then a section at the bottom with the Dots embossing folder and I used my cutter to score several lines to define the sections. Pop-dots make the heart dimensional. I used my computer for the words and dotted ribbon for that final 'touch'! TIP: Use your inkjet printer to make your own rub on letters. Print it in REVERSE on a piece of acetate then use a popsicle stick or your bone folder to rub it on exactly where you want it! I love doing this in colors as well as black type! By the way Feedblitz was down yesterday for maintenance so if you missed my scheduled post, please check out my blog. Have a great day and... Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Announcement

Surprise for me! I will be 'Princess of the day on Queen Kat Bloggers Club tomorrow, Friday, May 30. I was quite honored! Check it out. Makes me feel good someone noticed my blog and acknowledging all the hard work. Although I would do this anyway, a little recognition is flattering and icing on the cake. I scheduled a post for this morning and it appeared on my blog but I don't think it was emailed out. You might want to go see if you did not receive an automatic email. Have a great day and thanks for coming by. Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

New Arrival

I made this card for friends of mine who recently acquired a new 'family member'! I cut the cat from my Cricut and the words. They really got a kick out of it and I just wanted to share. Stampin' cardstock and designer paper is the base and the bottom edge which on the picture you can't tell is cut to match the contour of the kitty. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon. Friendship Note Card

I love this stamp set 'A Touch of Nature' by Stampin' Up. The background was embossed every .5 inch which gives it a quilted look and then I stamped the leaves, next I added the embossed square border. The butterfly is 3D and stickled which is hard to see on the photo. I used 4 punches (Stampin' Up) to make the greeting and attached with a picture hanger brad. The ribbon ws from AC Moore. This card is on My Etsy Store. Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Bravo Burgandy and Always Artichoke. Thanks for stopping by. Need to run and get busy! Happy Scrappin' & Stampin'

Caught the 'Cuttle' Bug?

These are two cards I made using my Cuttlebug and some retired SU papers. I am still trying to use up some of the discontinued stuff so bare with me! Materials: ONE: Cuttlebug Embossing folder Swiss Dots & Flourishes (I was unable to find the Flourish folder online so it might be discontinued) SU: Certainly Celery & So Saffron Certainly Celery Ribbon SU Punches: label punch, scallop punch, 1 3/8 circle, 1 1/4 circle, 3/4 circle SU brads Close to my Heart Picture hanger. TWO: Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Stylized Flowers & Swiss Dots SU Embrace Life stamp scallop punch & 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punch To achieve this effect you run 1/2 the folded card (front only) thru the 'bug' about 2" in, then turn the card and run the bottom 1/2 about 2" in. I then took my stylus and scored right under the embossed top and bottom two to three times. I then embossed the envelope flaps to match their respective cards. It was just a new and fun way to use your embossing folders and who knows, maybe at the same time use some of that 'discontinued' paper! Of course new paper is good too! By the way the all white card (I generally stay away from all white) is a sympathy card. The inside reads: Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind. (William Wordsworth) I also put crystal effects on the little pink flowers and a 3/4" circle of the leftover flower on the inside! These are featured at My Etsy Store. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Fantastic Forty Birthday Card

What great happy papers combined to celebrate such an age milestone! I love the Jersey Shore Designer Series by Stampin' Up and the Brilliant Blue cardstock. I used a blue safety pin to accent with pumpkin pie stripped ribbon. Wasabi is the color of the card base. Cricut was used to make the die cut numbers and shadows. This card is on My Etsy Store. Thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to make some new stuff today; kinda been slacking off over the holiday weekend. We had great weather here in Western NC - just right! Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Another CheckBook Cover

Stampin' Up's Touch of Nature Stamp set was used to create this unique checkbook cover. The bird was colored with watercolor pencils (SU, of course). I cut the ovals with Nestabilities and my Cuttlebug. The background was embossed by scoring every inch in diamond shapes and then stamped. I really like that technique, adds interest to an otherwise dull backdrop. Great gift idea! This is for sale at My Etsy Store. Thank you for stopping by and come back often. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Happy Memorial Day!

Whimsical CheckBook Cover

Found this blank cover while 'cleaning' and it screamed 'decorate me!' so... I cut the rectangles with my Cricut then mounted the fabric cutout cherries. The words were cut using Cricut as well but you could use rub-ons. The background was stamped. This is also for sale at My Esty Store. Would make a great one-of-a-kind gift especially for those hard to buy for friends! OR you could use for yourself. It was just a fun thing to make. Thank you for stopping by. Wanted...

to let you know I was thinking of you! (that is on the inside of the card). I printed the WANTED on my computer but the card is Stampin' Up cardstock (Sage Shadow) and Designer Paper which has been discontinued! The scallop and circle are Stampin' Up punches as well as the brads and photo corners. The ribbon actually inspired the card colors and it was from American Crafts. As you can see housekeeping went by the wayside today! O well, it will be here tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Friendship Note Cards

As you Stampin' Up Demos can tell I am trying to use up the discontinued Scrappin' Kits. These were made with 'Just Delightful'. I love those kits; you can make alot of card with them and of course, great scrapbook pages and EVERYTHING matches! They come with 6 sheets of stickers, designer paper as well as the plain matching cardstock. In this case I used Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue, adding perky ribbon accents. Friendship Card has a great poem inside. Friendship There's a wonderful thing that gold cannot buy A blessing that's rare and true And that's the gift of a wonderful friend Like the friend I have in you! I also added a little sticker flower inside each one. Inspire! is blank inside to put your own sentiment or a quick note. I love making cards with the Scrappin' kits. They are so quick and easy. Great way to use all your leftovers. TIP: If you want to use a sticker but put it on a pop dot for dimension, rub the sticky side with baby powder so it doesn't accidently stick to the card. I will post these but I think Saturday cleaning house is in order. UGH! but somebody has to do it. LOL Have a great Memorial Day weekend. Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

Clipboard - Altered

This multi-function clipboard would be a great addition to any wall! Michael's had these 12 x14 clipboards on sale some time ago. I covered it with Stampin' Up paper, added mats for pictures, cork for small notes, post-it pad, small legal size pad and a matching pen. The flowers are Prima. Makes a great gift or bulletin board for a childs or teens room. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day. Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

Birthday Wishes

The American Crafts Elements ribbon inspired this card. I love the colors in the ribbon and Stampin' Up papers blend well. I used 'For A Friend' hostess stamp set and put Stickles on the candle; Nestabilities for the ovals. The background was made using Cuttlebug embossing folder and to get the paper technique, you ink the side of the embossing folder that is INDENTED. Then emboss the cardstock normally and VOILA' a beautiful embossed background with color in reverse. Thanks for stopping by. OH by the way I passed the 1,000 visitor mark today! WHOO...HOO... Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

Two Pocket Card

I have seen several variations of this card and I hope to make another today using a different folding procedure which I will post tomorrow. These are so much fun to make. The directions for this card can be found HERE. Thanks Judy! Supplies: Pokadots & Paisley DS (discontinued) So Saffron CS Wasabi CS Certainly Celery CS Brads & Ribbon - Making Memories Punches & Eyelets - Stampin' Up Stampin' Up Sidekick Sayings (Hostess Set) Leaves - Prima Flowers Tim Holtz Tea Distressing Ink Sorry the picture of the tags is so blurred but you get the idea! You could use this card for most any occasion and even use one pocket for money or a gift card. I love this idea using only one sheet of 12x12 Designer Paper which would be great for a class project! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Gold Embossed Card

Well today I opened my ETSY Store. It is an Internet store like Ebay but only for handmade items. Stop by sometime and subscribe. The search engines are still under construction so you have to keep track of the individual stores. My Etsy Store Here's my card for today. I made this sometime ago but wanted to share. Stampin' Up Certainly Celery is the base for this card with Chocolate Chip as the mat for the gold embossed foil that I purchased from Michaels. I used Cuttlebug's embossing folder. Images were stamped using Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip inks. I love the embossing folders! Three gold brads complete the look. Thanks for stopping by! and by the way for the life of me I can't remember the name of this stamp set. I promise to do better! ('True Friend' page 106 of current idea book (#110378 $22.95)-thanks to the great ladies at Yahoo! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Strawberry Snacks - Altered

Altered - of course - I used an empty Protein Drink bottle which by the way was really BAD! Yuk! Anyway it is filled with Strawberry Whoppers. I actually started out wanting to use those red cherries and do a cherry bottle but I could not find them anywhere, thus, strawberries! I used Cricut to cut the tags for the front and Stampin' Up punches for the scallop and circles. I printed Strawberry Snacks in a circle on my computer. The berries are adhered using pop dots except the one on the top of the bottle. The card stock is real red, glorious green from SU. The For You tag was Cricut as well BUT you can use punches for tags or just cut them from cardstock. The fabric cut-out berries were from Regina Easter on Etsy. I did however use black pen to outline them and accented w/ Stickles (craftersalley.com). Topped it all off with the green gingham & red dotted ribbon (Walmart). Was just a fun project but great for a quick 'thinking of you' gift and ANY bottle will do. Also wanted to mention, you can also use the Tart & Tangy Stamp Set from Stampin' Up's Occasions Mini catalog which has a cherry, strawberry & lemon slices. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Have a great Week-end!

Thank You

My little dotted Petaloo flower (sorry I originally thought it was Prima) inspired the colors for this greeting card. Petaloo's come with little glittery round disks for the middle of each flower. I used SU Pumpkin Pie and YoYo Yellow, embossing the yellow with Cuttlebug. The orange printed paper is old tooooo; Michael's slab. I made a matching envelope as well. Ribbon is SU's new stripped Pumpkin Pie. I used the SU word punch for the embellishment in the corner. Stamp set - For a Friend - SU Hostes set. I hope you injoyed my 'inspiration' for today! I sure enjoyed making them. Again Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Friendship

I made this trying to use up some old paper I have had FOREVER, thus the matching envelope! Stamp set is Friendship Blooms (Stampin' Up Hostess Set). Cotton twill tied around a picture hanger and four corner brads finish off this quick card. I also stamped an image on the inside. Printed paper is from a Michael's slab and the card was made using SU Always Artichoke & Certainly Celery. I distressed the edges a little with matching classic ink. Thanks for looking. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Happy Birthday

With my sister's illness and her care, my creativity has been on the back burner. I did try today to make some new things for your inspiration as well as mine! I hope you like them. Using the hostess sets (Stampin' Up)For a Friend & Friendship Blooms, I created this card. The ribbon was the inspiration for the colors. The blues are a little off but they blend OK. Ribbon is by Made for Retail. I did not have any background paper so I stamped the flower and flourish in Bravo Burgandy. I used Stickles (Craftersalley.com) for the candle on the saying. I also used a sea sponge to sponge over the confetti white paper; the saying is adhered with pop dots for dimension. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Another Embrace Life - Quick & Easy

These are two cards I made using Stampin' Up's Embrace Life Set! I was looking thru some scrap paper and used some for these cards. The base is Chocolate Chip w/ Mellow Moss and accented with some blue flowered paper. These were really quick and easy but I like the design. I used dotted ribbon from Walmart; brads are Stampin' Up and I used Chocolate Chip to stamp the images and words. Some extra paper piercing further embellished the cards. Corner punch, scallop punch and circle punch are all Stampin' Up. Enjoy! Thanks for looking. Happy Scrappin' & Stampin'
