Tea Bag Holder

This was inspired by an article in Stampers Sampler. There were several variations in there. This can be used for a money gift, gift card gift or just a 'refreshing' tea bag! If you adjust the pattern a little you can actually make it greeting card size to send in the mail. When I first signed up to be an SU Demo I ordered a 12x12 assortment WRONG... It had an 8x10 punch out in it for scrapping. Welll I am still trying to use it up. So I cut the paper 3.5 x 10.5; score at 3" and 7.5". I used the 1 3/8 circle punch at the 3" end. I used the Photo Corner Punch to make my V slits. Fold over the 3" score and adhere along the edges with 1/4" sticky tape. The Tab punch was used for the closure. Any questions, email me. I used retired Wanted SU designer paper and really rust. The little Word Punch says 'delicious' but it's hard to read on the phote. I hope you can understand the pattern. That is one thing I need to work on! Have fun and create! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Note card also made a long time ago using the Friendship Blooms Hostess Set. I used the Pattern Background stamp then embossed the diamonds to add interest. Bookplate and ribbon are Stampin' Up as well. Sorry but I hope to get my camera back to 'normal' quickly - it's not my 'friend'! LOL. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Time!

It has been so long since I made this card... my camera is doing screwie things so I will have to read the book when I get home, thus an older card! Promise, new stuff when I get it figured out! The flowers are from SU's Time Well Spent and cut out. The top one is curled for dimension and braded together. Cardstock is Pretty in Pink accented in blue. Thanks for stopping by! There is room for journaling using a little folded note with a baby bottle on it! I cut the flowers, pins and name using Cricut. Lemonade?

Tried of the old cliques? Well here's a twist - no pun intended! I used Tart & Tangy, SU Mini catalog. I hope you like it! I used YoYo Yellow and Tempting Turq. Cardstock and a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the white mat. I am really loving this dying ribbon. This was the white taffeta ribbon and I ran the Tempting Turq. Stampin' Spot over it to dye it! Oh almost forgot the words were computer generated and the drink was from the Microsoft Clipart Gallery and I cut it out and it is on pop-dots! Great card for someone you know having a bad time of it! Off to try and think of something to do tomorrow! Happy Stampin & Scrappin'

Gone FOREVER

Where do they go? Stampin' Up's retired list for the Spring/Summer 2008 catalog came out today. Better get them while supply lasts. Email with if you wish to purchase any of these retiring stamps. CLICK HERE for the complete list. 3 X 3 Scalloped Note Cards This was totally CASE'd from Andrea Walford. She does some beautiful stuff and her instructions are great! I am still trying to use some of the retired Designer paper and these are what I came up with. What a great gift! Made 4 or 6 and give as a gift. Stampin' Up has the small 3 x 3 envelopes but I made mine using New Arrivals cartridge from Cricut and 24 lb. paper. Aren't they cute? Great gift card enclosures but these cannot be mailed! Thanks for stopping by and come again soon. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

'Orange' You Special

Pumpkin Pie and Wasabi was used to create this card. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the mat and edged it in Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink. The words were computer generated and accented by SU brads. The stamp set is Tart & Tangy! and I love it. So '70's... (showing my age!). I did stamp some orange slices inside as well. I however used a CHEAP bottle of glitter glue from Michaels and believe me 'it ain't Stickles'! so never again, it was a waste of money... I get my stickles from crafter's alley. Ribbon by Stampin' Up. Thank you for stopping by and come back soon. Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

Quickie - Album

WOW Walmart had a reader for only $8.88... I was pleasingly surprised since it is Friday the 13th. So now I am functional again. I started this little flip album (6x6) so long ago. It was on someone's blog and I really don't have the instructions. It flips out and can be setup on a desk or folded flat for storage. I used a retired wedding Scrappin' Kit from SU with Mellow Moss and Blush Blossom as the base. Random papers for the printed even one or two sheets from AC Moore! I used random wedding pictures friends and family took using digital cameras. Her shower invitation and the wedding invitation were scanned and sized to fit the pages. It's just for a fun memory of the day so ENJOY and thanks for stopping by. If I find the directions I will include in another post. Happy Scrappin' and Stampin'

Wedding Day!

It has been a while since I posted! I am back in N.C. after going home (VA.) for my 'baby' boy's wedding. I am posting two pictures from the wedding, Saturday, June 7. I took some pictures of things I had made to post BUT I walked off and left my card reader in Virginia! So... until I get one, I can't post much! The Wedding Day was beautiful BUT 100 degrees. At 5:55 pm it poured rain for about 15 minutes and then cleared up taking about 10 - 15 degrees off the heat! Thank goodness... Yes, on the second picture... the whole wedding party jumped in the pool in FULL DRESS including the bride and groom. The best man, my hubby and my son-in-law were the only ones that did NOT jump! Believe it or not the dresses and tuxedos looked just as good after they dried. WOW they sure have great fabrics now! Thanks for looking and I hope to post the little ablum I made from some digital pictures friends and family took during the ceremony. Happy Stampin' and Scrappin'

Always

Stampin' Up's Always stamp set was the inspiration for this card. I used Autumn paper from Michaels and the background and accented it with the corner punch and brads. I love the bird! Punches were used to mount and a highlight the sentiment. Just a simple card. Thanks for looking. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

MOM - not just for Mother's Day

I made this card using Cricut Design Studio and cut the letters out of the cardstock then backed it with More Mustard; added a silk flower with a Stampin' Up Build a Brad, then accented with green dotted ribbon. MOM cards are great anytime. It is such a nice thought when you get an 'just thinking about you MOM' card so they are not just for Mother's Day! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Scrappin' & Stampin'

Patriotic Note Card

I have seen alot of patriotic cards lately so I thought I'd make one only to find my star stamps are in VA and I'm in NC so... I improvised and used a clipart image from Microsoft Clipart Gallery. I printed it on Whisper White cardstock using the grayscale setting on my printer. The stars were Cricut die cuts from the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge, layered and attached using a decorative brad. I used the script Cuttlebug embossing folder over the white cardstock to give it an added dimension. Thanks for looking and come back soon. Happy Scrappin' & Stampin'

Inspired CASE

This card was inspired by Nancy Green, another Stampin' Up friend. I used Cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the scalloped mat. I embossed the top at an angle and the bottom at an angle. You really can't see it very well on the photo is much prettier IRL. I used an applique for the butterfly I bought at a local fabric store. Nancy's had the stamped butterfly from MERCI. The button brads are from Making Memories and I colored them pink with a Copic Marker. Ribbon is from American Craft Elements. I love those colors together. I hope you do to... BTW the words on the word punch say ' Just Because '. I used the clear rubber stamps for that and I must say I am NOT impressed with clear stamps. They just don't seem to absorb the ink as well as the actual rubber ones (my opinion only). Off to 'clean'! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'
