Snowman Topper

Ok last of the snowmen (maybe). This is a cute little topper made using the Top Note Big Shot die. I cut the white one doubled so it folds over the back and at the same time cut 1/2 in black. Then added the brim on the hat outlined with a white gel pen. The holly is silk w/ paper berries. Eyes are cut with the 3/4" SU circle punch with black dots and mouth with the 1/2" punch. The nose is designer paper cut using the small oval (only part of it). I put an oatmeal cookie inside the cello bag. Just a cute little give away! OR you can fill with candy, candy canes or just about anything. Enjoy! Would be excellent for a kid's classroom give-away! Snowman Bucket

This is a take off from the post from yesterday. I used a prima flower empty can and SU punches; 1/2" - mouth; 1 1/4 & 1" for the eyes and part of the small oval punch. The strip for the hat is 1" and used a white gel pen for the stitching. Holly was cut from a sizzix die on the Big Shot. Fill w/ candy canes, peppermints, or whatever suits your fancy for a great little gift. Thanks for stopping by. PS if there are any errors it is because I had eye surgery yesterday and have an abrasion on my eye and can't see really well. It will get better! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Snowman Card

I love this design and it was posted with my Santa card on Alysabeth Johnston's blog spot. I was honored and had to make the snowman card - my take. I also noticed that you can make a goodie bucket with this same design. My cataract surgery is this am so after I get home, I may try the bucket. They are so cute and simple! Just using Stampin' Up circle punches and glue, makes him a real cutie. I added a spritz of Sizzix holly to his hat. Thanks for stopping by. (It's hard to do this with one eye!) Christmas Cookie Bucket

This is an altered Prima Flower can I lined with Holiday Wishes Stampin' Up Designer Paper and Rose Red. I stamped on the paper first and cut the words using the SU Die Cut and my Big Shot. I cut the words apart and placed on the cardstock. The tage is a Hostess Level 1 stamp set cut with the square scallop punch. I made the bow using 3/4" wide strips of designer paper and ran some pearls wthru it to add some glitz. Filled with sugar cookies topped off with a little bow to match. Great gift and can be filled with almost anything not just cookies! I love to alter cans, etc. Doing my part to recycle LOL! Just another fun project. Until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

More Creative Cans

Taking a tall beer can (or beverage can) I cut these two Stampin' Up dies from one can, Top Note & Scallop Circle. Then I ran them thru the Big Shot using Cuttlebug embossing folders. Haven't made a card from them yet but I will. I just wanted to see how they would look embossed. They are not sharp after cutting with the Big Shot. It tends to put a tiny edge on them. You could use alcohol inks on them, stamp with Stazon. I just wanted to try embossing them. It is on some message boards that cutting soda cans with your SU punches will sharpen them so why not the dies as well. I did use my Fiskars rotary cutter to trim off the ragged edges. I cut the top and bottom out using Pampered Chef Kitchen Shears. It is relatively easy to cut. They adhere to the paper using ATG adhesive gun. It is quite sticky! Just another fun recycle craft project. I will share the finished cards when they are done! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Recycle

Recycle those old drink/beer cans by cutting dies and punches. Everyone is talking about using an old can to sharpen your punches so why not the dies as well. It is not sharp when you cut it out either. ATG adhesive holds it well and it even RUNS THRU your Cuttlebug to emboss it. I did try that (not on this one) but it does work. I used Ballet blue for the bird, Night of Navy for the card and a Miller Light can for the Top Note (SU). We had beer in our basement since my daughter's wedding five years ago so I poured it out and recycled the cans!!! Had to do something with them and I knew I was saving that beer for something! LOL Give it a try and it opens lots of possibilities. I saw an ornament made out of one somewhere but can't remember which blog. I had to go buy a TALL BEER and pour it out so I could try the scallop circle (small cans are not big enough for that one) Have fun - might even wanna drink it as you go! Quick Treat using BIG SHOT

My dd suggested this so I had to make one. Using the Big Shot Top Note (Stampin' Up) die, I cut the background, used the two slit punch (SU); inserted a lollypop. I added a ribbon for accent and then glued to a mat. It is just so cute and simple. Love it... These are too cute for kid's treats at a school party, any occasion & holiday, Valentine's, Christmas, birthday, etc. and can be embellished lightly or heavily. Just have fun. Tiny Tree Christmas Card

I used the Christmas Classics tree stamp and stamped five trees and cut them out varying the size. Papers were from Holiday Treasures Designer Paper (Stampin Up). The words were cut using Chocolate Chip cardstock and Holiday Treasures DP and the Big Shot die, Peace, Love, Joy & Cheer! Card base is Confetti White. This was a quick, cute card for your last minute holiday needs! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Tri-Fold Coaster Display

This was done using 3 4x4 coasters and covered with Bella Rose Designer Paper (Stampin' Up) Great for displaying pictures as well as a small calendar for your desk! I made the tiny calendar by going to red-castle.com and printing it out. Just a quick gift idea my friend in NC shared with me the last time I was visiting my daughter. Thanks, Cora. Mats were made with Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red cardstock. Embellish as desired! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Winter House

This is a new cuttlebug embossing folder Winter House. Sorry for the funny angle on the picture but wanted you to see it plain on the whisper white cardstock. Then I brayed white craft ink (Stampin Up) over the houses then embossed. I used Dazzling Diamonds on the roof tops and Peaceful Wishes. Well the words were too blended into the Night of Navy cardstock so I stamped over it and embossed in white. I'm not real pleased with it but it is just a sample so will work on this one. The houses would make a great note card for winter as well as for Christmas. Thanks for stopping by, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Totally CASED!

This beautiful design was totally CASE'd from Christine Creations. It was a color challenge at SCS and she did a fantastic job! I just wanted to color something and I love that stamp set. I did however use the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder on the Basic Gray paper. I dyed the ribbon w/ Basic Gray ink as well. The colors used are Pacific Point, Basic Gray & Certainly Celery. Thanks Christine for sharing! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Thanksgiving Place Setting

I used Autumn Vine Stampin' Up Designer Paper to make this table setting. The place card was cut using Top Note Die and the Big Shot as well as the napkin holder base. I used the small Curly Punch layered using the Tab Punch by Stampin' Up. The little 'paper charm' on the goblet was punched using the Boho SU punch w/ an initial written on it. The pouch was cut using Big Shot's pouch die out of acetate. Punches are layered between the charger and clear plate... Just think it is all paper and can be thrown out after the meal! No clean up LOL! Oh the coaster is just the scallop die cut! What a great way to share your creativity during the holiday season! Any combination of colors can be used and most can be done for any occasion. Just think for Valentines Day and a special dinner for two! (Plan ahead) Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by, until my next post... Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Winter 'Roses'

This little box was made using Pink Pirouette Cardstock & Bella Rose Designer Paper. It holds 5 Hershey Kisses but looks just like a long-stemmed rose box! The bow is Offray ribbon and I stamped the tag w/ a retired tag set from Stampin' Up which reads YUM YUM then embossed it with retired pink embossing powder from Stampin' Up. Just a cute little rememberance gift. I stamped a sentiment on the inside lid. I saw this box posted by Becky Fisher. Don't remember where I saw it but at least I remembered to write down the creator's name! Thanks Becky. 'Til next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Christmas Explosion Box

This box was made exclusively for your holiday memories! I used the I Wish Stampin Up Simply Scrapping Kit designer paper. I love the combination of colors. At Virginia Beach Regionals (which I did not get to go) they made the flower using the straight edge scallop punch. I am not sure how it was supposed to be adhered but I used about 5 large gel dots then put the brad thru it. It seems to be holding ok. There is room for 24 pictures (see yesterday's post). I hope to have a class on this December 7. It is such a great gift idea and can be done for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Explosion Boxes

I made these for a friend of mine and plan to have a class in December! They are really nice and especially good for a gift. They can be made for an occasion, holiday, or just to sit around to display your current pictures. The cube ends up folding into a 4 x 4 box and has room for 24 pictures and/or journaling. They can be embellished to your taste! Just a fantastic treat for anyone! I am working on a Christmas one now and will post when all finished. Transformation of 'ginger' to GINGER!

Alysabeth Johnston helped me create, rather transform 'ginger' to Glitz GINGER! Ginger was created using the large scallop Big Shots SU die with a blank inside to write your personalized note! I used chalk for the cheeks, 3 dimensional paint for the mouth, a retired SU stamp for the gumdrop nose. The holly is silk with glitter and 3 glittered berries. I hope you like it, it was just something different to make! Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Stampin' and Scrappin' Nancy PS Thanks Alysabeth for the advice!

Mulberry Paper Stationary Holder

I made this for a friend of mine to use for a gift! Now don't ask me for directions 'cause the base using cardboard and mulberry paper was put together over 3 years ago and since I have lost the directions. I did stamp 3 8 1/2 x 11 sheets using Heartfelt Thanks (SU), Elegant Eggplant, Almost Amethyst & Old Olive. I used to co-ordinating colors of cardstock to mat and finish off this book. The papers that were leftovers from the 3 stamped sheets I used to make the 4 note cards. I stamped the envelopes to match. I used an envelope die (Sizzix) to make the stampbook holders on the side and then stamped paper to match and inserted into the pen attached with ribbon loop. It was fun but as I remember VERY TIME CONSUMING! to cut and glue all the mulberry pieces together. My dd had the mulberry paper part all finished and she was kind enough to share w/ me! (Thanks Charlie) If I ever run across the pattern again I will be glad to share it with you. It makes a great gift item! Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Santa Candy Box

I made this quick candy box using the SU envelope Big Shot die and Christmas Die Cuts w/ a View paper so the inside would be white. I made this skinny belt and cut the buckle from chipboard and painted it gold. It was so quick and easy for a little candy gift or something just a lttle remembrance... The tag is an SU Level 1 Hostess set and fits the square scallop punch perfectly! Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Thanksgiving Favors

I made these (15) for a friend of mine which she is using for Thanksgiving favors! Cut with the Sizzix Bigz Die - Shaker Box using my Stampin' Up Big Shot and Autumn papers. I put acetate over the window and filled with 6 Hershey Nuggets. On top, there are two mulberry autumn leaves on a scalloped square punched with Stampin' Up's Scallop Square and accented with a dried twig I picked up and broke into 2 inch pieces. It is adhered with Crystal Effects. They will be a nice touch on her Thanksgiving table. Now - The Craft Fair Saturday went very well. I was pleased with the turn out and I did sell some craft items and also took orders. It was also a chance to network with some prospective Stampin' Up customers for my classes. I was pleasantly surprised since this was my very first show! Thank you for all your well-wishes! Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy
