Stamp A Holics 120 Challenge

This was quite the Color Challenge! Well here ya go! After lots of 'thinkin' - I came up with this Get Well card. I have been working all week on a Punch class I am having Sunday and then I had a special class this week so I have not had lots of time to stamp. This card took about 18 minutes to complete but lots of plannin' time! Recipe: Punches: 3/4 circle 107217 feet window word - ears - 105090 Bitty Button punch for eyes 118309 1/2 circle for eye 104390 1 1/4 face 104403 Large oval for tummy and muzzle - 107305 1/4 for nose and tongue wide oval - body 112082 small oval - legs - 107304 I punched the printed dog from Cameo Coral with a Sage Shadow tummy & muzzle. The sentiment from Wellness Wishes 115356 was punched using the window word punch and shadowed with the Modern Label punch 116630 and accented with two gold brads. The doggie was offset using a square of Barely Banana stamped with a matching Stamping Spot and accented with a Sage 1/4 grosgrain Sage Shadow tie. The dog was stamped with Elements of Style 120045. Whew -- I hope you like it - it's different and a little out of my comfort zone but that's what challenges do! Try these colors - they will be retiring soon! Until next time!Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Lemonade Anyone?

This was totally cased from Judy's blog. I just could not resist. Tart and Tangy is the stamp set and is so cute with lots of possiblities; mixed drinks, lemonade, iced tea, cherry on top, etc. I used Summer Sun (retiring) for the base of the card and just cut a straw to put down inside. The glass is made from cardstock vellum with Summer Sun rubbed on the inside. Looks good enough to drink! I rubbed glue stick around the rim and put Dazzling Diamonds (you can't see it in the picture). I really have to learn to take better pictures. SOON I hope! LOL Thank you, Judy for sharing! Well gonna run, it is storming here and don't like to be on the computer! Keep stamping. PS After I posted this, I took Crystal Effects and dripped in on the glass and it looks like it is sweating and makes it even more refreshing! Until next time!Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Bits & Pieces

Looking around my craft table I saw lots of bits and pieces of things I had started but never finished sooooo I combined them. The Background was made trying to recreate one of Michelle's cards but I did not like it. The rose was my first attempt at a flower using the large flower punch (mini-catalog). The gate was from a left over piece of paper I had stamped to use as the fence on my rabbit card so it's just a modge podge of bits and pieces. Hope you like it. Could be a birthday, get well, thank you, etc. Ok I am not using the flash on my camera and I have two lights, one on each side but I keep getting this yellowing effect! O well one day... Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Yes, the Sun is Shining...

on my BLOG! My new demonstrator friend, Sage Kimble, sent it to me, since she checks my blog for some inspiration and creative ideas. Great huh? I am honored to be even associated with such a fantastic list of seasoned bloggers! Thank you Sage! There are responsibilities that come with the award. Here are the rules: 1. Put the Sunshine Award on your blog and/or within your post. 2. Pass the award to 12 other bloggers. 3. Link the nominees within your post. 4. Let them know they received this award by leaving a comment on their blog. 5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received the award. The hardest part, of course is narrowing it down to just 12 blogs!! Here are my favorites that I am sending the Sunshine Award to: 1. Cindy Blekas - Simply Cindy Crafts 2. Mary Jo Price-Williams -- Techno Stamper 3. Becky Roberts -- Inking Idaho4. 4. Melanie Muenchinger -- Hands, Head & Heart 5. Marie -- Marie Loves to Stamp 6. Tarheel Stamper 7. Leonie Schroder -- Stamp A Latte 8. Eileen Kaput LeFevre -- Stampin' Blog 9. Pamela Browne - Stampin' for the Soul 10. Ellen Kemper -- Blink, Think, Ink 11. Sherrill Graff -- Late Night Stampers 12. Diva Coffee Break Designs Whew! It WAS hard to narrow it down. There are just so many great blogs out there and so little time to visit. Such a great way to Inspire, Create & Learn! So to all you new Sunshine Award bloggers, go create your own list, and spread the sunshine around! Now I need to go leave comments on all these blogs, letting them know about the award. Check back soon. I will be posting some neat projects! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Sweet Scoops

Another Sneak Peek at one of the upcoming stamp sets in the Summer Mini! COMING SOON... As you can see I have fallen for the Sherbet Buttons... they are just 'yummy'! I used Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink (button colors) as the scheme for this card. It is quick and easy. I did put Crystal Effects on the orange sherbet with the clear chunky glitter on top! I also used the new Embossing Folder! all nestled on Kraft (retiring) Cardstock. I threw in the rose to show a customer a flower made with the Ornament Punch which is still available, by the way! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

A Little Bit of Magic

Sneak Peak from the up and coming Summer Mini! A Little Bit of Magic stamp set combined with Pretty in Pink and Pumpkin Pie makes a great note card. I did however color the image with Copics. I am trying to practice coloring and Copics can be quite a challenge. The Stampin' Up Markers or Crayons would be perfect as well. I have fallen in love with the Sherbet buttons. They are so soft and inviting. I ran the Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon thru the button, then tied it off. The printed paper is from the Sweet Pea collection! Until next time! I will make the other 1/2 soon (tomorrow) and try to post it BETTER. Remember this is my first and it has taken forever to post! If you have any questions or see any errors, let me know please... thank you for your help and comments. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Lots of Holidays

After getting some 1 x 8 bags I got carried away. I have made one for each holiday. The biggest challenge is finding candy in the correct colors especially off season! LOL M&M's are your best fit but the small jelly beans work well and Sixlets (chocolate covered balls) Anyway I hope you enjoy these and can use some of the ideas for different occasions! All cardstock is Stampin' Up and SU punches. Great handouts for school occasions, holiday visitors or special occasions. Oh the baby one can be used for a shower OR for New Year's Baby! So we have Winter, New Years (Baby), Valentines, St. Patty, Easter, July 4, Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Easy/Peasy Mother's Day Card

Caught short? This card is really simple and easy to make and actually can be used for lots of occasions. I used the ornament punch and if you don't have it you really need to get this one for the vase. Stamp sets: Well Scripted and Happy Moments (Sale-A-Bration) Any set that has some flowers will do if you don't have Happy Moments. I used the scallop top note punch and punched all the colors in the card and staggered them for effect. A little strip of ribbon and a scallop edge accents the card. My friend came over and cut 20 Pretty in Pink Fancy Favor boxes and I saved the scalloped edge that is left for accents on cards. Very effective! (I hate throwing anything away)... Well we're off for a weekend away. Hubby and I always go once a year to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet and make a weekend of it! See you on Monday! HAPPY EASTER! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Thanks...

Hope everyone stocked up on the Welcome Neighbor Sale-A-Brations 6x6 card stock. I hope SU comes out with more and more 6x6 pads. They are so handy and what a great size. Maybe we better bombard DemoSupport with the suggestions... anyway... I used one sheet of 6x6 and have a 3 x 4 printed piece left for another card. I cut it at 4" then the 4" piece in half (houses) then used the 2 x 4 piece (reverse side) for the side piece highlighted with Mambo Melon Ribbon. I used the Level I Sale-A-Brations stamp set for the Thankd BUT you can use any stamp set and any sentiment! quick and easy card! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Too early!

I know it is a wee-bit early BUT I am trying to make things to use the 1x8 bags you get from clearbags.com. This is a cute Santa face for a topper. It's never too early to make the faces so they'll be all ready for the Christmas season! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'
