Kaliedoscope Stamping
Using Crushed Curry & Soft Suede (don't you just love the new In-Colors) I made this kaliedascope stamped card using a Technique Junkie technique (August, 2003). I bought the CD's and they are chocked full of techniques and great ideas. Check it out!
We'll be doing this technique Tuesday night at Technique Tuesday's workshop! It is a fun technique and you can use almost any stamp!
The stamp is from the beautiful and versatile Lovely as a Tree. The ribbon is Soft Suede using the reverse side since I did not want the dots on it. Today I'll remember to attach the picture LOL.
Until next time!

Tri-Shutter Card
This card was made from Washington Apple (retired) Designer Paper. I used two colors of ink on the greeting then embossed it and brayered over it. The flowers are from the boho punch and the butterfly & trail from the Flight of the Butterfly Stampin' Up stamp set. I think we are going to make this type card in my next technique class. It is different and a fun card to make.
Until next time!

Left overs!
The backgound is a practice piece from Michelle Zindorf's class. I just can't throw anything away so I made this froggy card! I used Always Artichoke for the card base and the Hoppy for You Stampin' Up stamp set. The reason the wording is 'way off base' is because I rocked the fly trail stamp and had two lines of ink so I just covered it up as best I could.
It was just a fun card to make and use a 'throw-away'.
Until next time!

Cold & Cuddly
Another new set in the Holiday Mini Stampin Up Catalog! Only a few more days for the Spetember 1 release. I am hoping some of you are getting yours in the mail. There are so many new sets.
I used Night of Navy, Real Red & put an eyelet heart on the little fella and crystal brads just set it off. I used a crystal Spica Copic glitter marker on the ice berg just to add some glitz.
Until next time!

Impressive Fold
Lee Conrey came up with this great crimper fold. More infomation and pics are on her blog. I wanted to use my new stamp set (another pick from the New Mini-Holiday Catalog coming September 1). I hope you guys are getting yours in the mail this week.
The name of the set is Cold & Cuddly and it is soooooo cute. There are so many new sets in the mini and they are too irresistible. I used Note Quite Navy cardstock for the base of the card.
Until next time!

Happy Halloween Improved
A few people suggested being able to get the candy out from the inside so it's not spilled so I came up with this improvement. The printed paper is retired (sorry) and the web and spider are too. I have not received my order with the new halloween paper but will make some things when it comes. The new mini holiday catalog releases September 1 and I'm sure you'll fall in love with all the new sets, papers, etc.
Until next time!

Happy Halloween
Had to try these new Sweet Treat stamps (oops - Sweet CENTERS) from Stampin' Up. It is a new stamp set coming September 1 in the new Mini-Catalog. You should be receiving yours in the mail soon if you are on my mailing list. Anyway... I forgot to pick up some candy yesterday so I made this card cased from Mary Fish at stampinpretty.com. The tag on the front slides out so you can get to your treat without destroying the card. Ahh, REFILLS!
They are so cute. In the set there is one for Valentine's Day & Christmas, a hot air balloon for any occasion and I am sure everyone can think of several more occasions to use it. You can order the mini-cups and even special envelopes for them from Stampin' Up. Visit my Stampin' Up website to order online. I also used a 2004 retired set for the spider web and spider on the inside.
The 'Mr. Batty' has been around for a while (creator unknown). I put it on top of a Butterfinger bar (my favorite)!
I think I am giving up for today since it has not been going well. Gotta run to eat lunch with my hubby!
Until next time!

Embossed Snow
This 3D card was made with Stampin Up Whisper White and two of the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. I saw it on someone's blog and I can't find the URL (will keep looking 'cause hers was so much prettier). I have tried 3 cameras, with/without flash, daylight, etc, etc, etc and this was the best one. THEN I had to remove the color using Photoshop (a program I know very little about) to make it show the embossing -- so here it is. I hope you love it as much as I did. It is so simple and so elegant. BTW the message and sentiment is on the back!
I would have liked to use the new Stampin Up snowflake punch but mine is on order. And I have to practice bow tying!
Am working on some new stuff today and hope I accomplish more than I have lately. Some days are just better than others! So let's get crackin'
Until next time!

Punch Samples
A group of us try to get together once a month for a 'punch' party! These are the samples I put together for our next workshop. They are basically 'cased' from videos on YouTube by Heather & Dawn. The reindeer card is by 'can't remember' but CLICK HERE and she has a video! One gal that has really inspired me is Wanda McGlamery. from Beate Johns message board. She doesn't have a blog but posts her creations on the MB.
Punches are really versatile. I had a visit from the 'man in brown' today and I opened one of the boxes and the top layer was 'black' with PUNCHES!
They are all so clever and cute. One Santa is a small Hershey Bar wrapper. They can be used as card candy or on tags or as an ornament. One Santa's beard opens up for hidden journaling. I hope you like them as much as I did. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!

Sweet Days
Stampin' Success (Stampin' Up's Monthly Magazine for Demos) had this card in it this month. They used other papers and I did change a few things. I used 3/4" punch for the ice cream balls, the edge of the scallop punch for the toppings, 1/4" punch for the cherry on top! The bowl is 1/2 of the 1 3/4 punch and the banana is the edge of the large oval punch. Oh the holes were made in the back ground paper with the Cropadile. I used Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo cardstock & Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper. It was too cute to pass up!
Until next time!

Ronald McDonald needs your help!
Alot of Stampin' Up Demos & fellow bloggers are teaming up with Sherrill Graff to help fill a desperate need for handmade cards and blankets for the Ronald McDonald house. Most parents with sick children can not afford to go to the gift shop to buy a gift for their child. Your cards would allow them to cheer up their children often during their stay. Most children are in ICU rooms....which means they don't allow flowers and balloons; however, they do allow cards.
Please visit the blogs listed below for information on how we can help the Ronald McDonald Houses across the country. If you need help, please send me an email and I will be happy to supply any details you may need!

Stamping411 Challenge
This card came about for several reasons: 1- to enter in the Stamping411 Weekly Challenge (I have missed them the past couple of weeks.)
2- My friend came over to help me cut some cardstock and she cut about 20+ pieces 2 3/4x 5 1/2 (oops, was the wrong size) so I wanted to use one and luckily it was one of the sizes for the challenge!
3- I wanted to use my new A Brand New Year (Item 116838 - $8.95) from the new mini catalog (effective September1).
4- Also wanted to try embossing with the two colors!
I did cut the letters from the Sizzlit Alphabet (Stampin' Up) Item 113453 - Naturally Serif - $19.95). I used Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry cardstock and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper. The corduroy button (Item 114340 $9.95 Kraft) was 'dyed' using the Melon Mambo ink pad.
Anyway, how many reasons do we 'really' need to be creative! LOL Thanks for stopping by and check out all the challenges at Stamping411.
Until next time!

Penant Park
This is such a neat Stampin' Up stamp set! I brayered the sky and grass, embossed the tree and bench. It measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. I used the Sizzlit Die for the flourishes. The mat is Stampin' Up Handsome Hunter bordered by Whisper White. The base of the card is Night of Navy.

Country Morning
This was a quick card I made using the Country Morning Level I Hostess set from Stampin' Up. It is a really cute set. The paper is retired though. I used Riding Hood Red cardstock and a scrap of Bella Rose Designer Paper. The chicken wire background stamp is also retired!
Stampin' Club and Stamp A Stack this week end is calling for my attention but I just wanted to create something! As usual comments (and suggestions) are WELCOME!

Michelle Zindorf's Class
I'm sorry it has been so long since I have posted but after spending two days with Michelle Zindorf and then trying to catch up with classes here, I haven't had time to get to my blog.
Yes, we spent 2 wonderful days braying with Michelle in Lynchburg VA. She is a most amazing and talented lady. Her classes are well worth the money. You can learn so much. I love brayering and it was so great to be taught by the 'queen of brayering.' She is AWESOME and continually shares tutorials, inspiration & creativity on her blog and is a Stampin' Up Demo as well.
These are the cards we made during the beginner and advanced classes. Ladies came from all over the state and one from N.C. I think everyone was delighted and she received an open invitation from AC Moore's to come again anytime. Also I want to thank Robert (AC Moore's Mgr.) for letting me use the classroom for her classes.
Enjoy and get inky! (Believe me we were all inky)
Until next time!

Stamping411 Challenge
Using my pre-order Christmas Cocoa Designer Paper I made these two cards for the Stamping411 Challenge. Check it out and play along!
One card is plain and simple then the next card is 'stepped up' a bit. I used Nature Silhouettes for the deer cut with Nestibilities. One the second one, I used the tree from Pendant Park stamped over and over to give it a little background. Cardstock used was Real Red and Soft Suede (new in-color).
Great masculine birthday card!

Pop Up Tree - Sneak Peek
I'm in LOVE! This is the greatest die! I had to get this made in a hurry to show you. The paper is dreamy and will be in the new Holiday Mini that will be available September 1. I am so excited to introduce the new Holiday Mini; it is packed with new products & great ideas. There are so many 'mustys' (must haves)! More later... go get inky!

Pendant Park
I love this set! It is soooo cute. I must love it I ordered it twice (oops)! The card stock is Night of navy and Bashful Blue. I stamped the edges of the Night of Navy with the tree leaves to add some accent. It would make a great stamp a stack card and used a gold pen to go around the white mat. Thanks for looking.

Halloween Pop Up
My Stampin' Club wanted to make a pop-up card for Halloween and since I have been really lax about ordering new Halloween stamps (until the new mini) I used the retired wheel for the front on Summer Sun matted with Garden Green. I stamped pumpkins all over the front with Black ink (doesn't show in the picture).
I brayered the inside with More Mustard, Summer Sun, Really Rust then stamped the tree. The pumplin pops up when you open the card. I know it's simple but I just wanted to do one for our meeting and it does incorporate a few techniques. I did use Spica pens on the bats & the Happy Halloween on the inside to give it some glitz!

A Christmas Wish
Although I only used the greeting from A Christmas Wish I think the card turned out ok. The trees are from Scenic Season and I love that set. I embossed the trees then brayered the sky, sponged the moon & snow. I just could not come up with another embellishment. It seemed to work well without one! The cardstock is Garden Green & Night of Navy. I did put smears of the 2-way glue pen and added some glitter on the trees and snow. The scan does not do it show it off.

Scrappin'
This is the Back to School spread we made at our Friday Night Scrappin' Club! We used Garden Green (like the chalk boards); Basic Gray accenting with black & going gray. The letters were cut from the Big Shot Sizzlet Alphabet. The envelope is the Big Shot Envelope SU die with the scallop edge trimmed off. Everyone had a really good time catching up & snacking on Cheese Pretzels!
These pages are a spin-off from a Scrapbooking Day I spent in North Carolina at one of Cyndi Bundy's get-togethers.
Just a reminder, this is VA Tax Free weekend on certain supplies from Stampin' Up but the orders have to be placed today thru Sunday! Remember you can always order online.

Desk Set
I have been working on these to sell at a local craft fair in the fall. Each little desk box holds 4 greeting cards w/ envelopes. The cards range from Birthday, Note Card, Friendship & Thank You. They were all fun to make and each has a little different style. Makes a great gift for a teacher, family or friend.
I am just so happy to have the Internet back! So now I need to move on and get busy. I will post the scrapbook pages we do at Friday Night Scrappin' in a few days. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!
