Red Hat Queen

I made this note card for a friend of mine who is a Red Hat Queen. I am not a Red Hat so I'm not sure what that means but she'll like it. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!

Christmas Treat

Happy HALLOWEEN!!!
What a day to post this pretty Christmas treat bag which features the mini-lunch sacks (121031 - $4.95) from the Holiday Mini-Catalog. I used Deck the Halls Christmas paper (120810), a few pearls for accent and all three of the new Seam Binding Ribbon (pg. 21 - Holiday Mini).
Colors are Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler (one of my favs) and Very Vanilla. Quick and easy packaging. The little bags are heavy weight and so suitable for a little Christmas treat!
Until next time!

Quilted Christmas Ball

I wanted to use the new Stampin' Up Christmas fabric but I must admit the ornaments I have seen using the vintage fabric are really pretty. I only had the Candy Cane print but it's neat too!
The directions for this ornament can be found at Make-Stuff. HOWEVER, being too tired to really get into this, I did not put a full second row BUT I decided it was not worth taking apart AGAIN so here's my version. Not bad, huh? I do plan on making another one correctly this time!
Until next time!

Christmas Plate Recycled

Good Mornin' It is beautiful, fall weather here today - the air is crisp & clean! Getting ready for Halloween I made this plate inspired by Mary Brown, one of our Late Night Stampers! The 'unique' thing, I recycled this glass plate.
Last year for Christmas I etched Joy and some decorations in the bottom of this plate and now this year it is doing double duty. The orange insert is on dimensionals and can be removed and voila' again a Christmas plate!
The large bat is from one of the Halloween Decor Elements. I put it on black cardstock and cut around it! Then accents are punched bats and the greeting from MDS (Nite Owl Designer paper). Don't you just love the 1 1/4" Stripped Ribbon?
Happy Halloween!
Until next time!

Stamp A Holics Challenge 143

This Friday Scrapbook Challenge is brought to us by Cynthia Stevenson. Please be sure and go by Stamp A Holics blogspot and check out the other Design Team entries and PLAY ALONG! Be sure and leave a COMMENT. We live for those! This page took approximately 30 minutes - took forever to pick out the pictures. I have so many, I think I am going to do another matching page to go along with this great design. I used various animal stamps with So Saffron ink on So Saffron paper and Play Date Designer Paper. Jacob had quite a fun day at the zoo but mostly his dad said he loved 'driving' thru... good thing Dad could see and reach the pedals all at the same time! Aren't kids great! Until next time! Gift Card Holder

What a great 'ornament' to find hanging on your tree? Wendy Hawkinson revisited this oldie but goodie card holder. Last year we made alot putting a candy bar inside and you could slide it up and out. This is perfect for a gift card for your someone special! When you pull the ribbon, it comes out the top. I used Holly Jolly Designer paper and Cherry Cobbler accented with Old Olive. I think I would have liked the 1/4 grosgrain ribbon instead of the satin seam binding but it's just a sample. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Halloween Treat

Don't forget about the cute little box you can make using the Stampin' Up envelope die! Sandy Murphy posted a little Christmas box which reminded me of the neat boxes I made last year using this die. This box is for Halloween treats. I used an empty Prima flower container but the CocaCola round drink bottles will also fit! You get lots of candy this way! LOL The box is cut using 4 Basic Black envelopes and I cut flaps only using the Wicked Cool Designer Paper. Stamp Set: Got Treats? Stampin' Up. I used the new oval punch (mini-catalog) for the pumpkin on top of the lid! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Calendar Tin

I made several of these several years in a row but had these left over from last year so I revised the calendar to 2011. They are the thin tins Stampin' Up had on the clearance rack (BTW they are still there). I thought this would be a great project for the Stamp Club in December. It has either a note pad or post a note pad, small pen, you can add clips and rubber bands. Great gift and a nice addition to carry in your car or purse. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Christmas Remembrance Gift

With Becky's permission I am posting this great little remembrance gift. The instructions can be found at Inkin' Idaho. It contains 3 wrapped chocolates (nuggets) and 6 - 3x3 gift cards. Great way to use your scrap Christmas paper and you can make these for other occasion too. Thanks Becky for such a great project! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Season Greetings

This quick card was inspired by a card designed by Kelly Acheson at Founder's Circle (Stampin' Up) and featured on Sandy Hancock's blog. As I said 'inspired' mine is a little different than the original. The greeting is from the Level II stamp set Peaceful Season. The trees are from Scenic Season Stamp Set; cardstock is Whisper White and Night of Navy. I ran the white thru the Big Shot once with the Dotted Folder then with the Northern Flurry Folder. The scallop circle behind the scene is a Nestability. Then Dazzling Diamonds were added to the trees to make them pop. Thanks for stopping by. Be sure and go to Sandy's blog to see the original post. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Refrigerator Note Pad

One of my customers as we make this note pad for your refrigerator. These are done by cutting a legal pad into 3 sections and making a backing and adding magnets. Voila' you have a neat grocery list pad. Great gift item too. Of course the cardinal is made from the Stampin' Up two step bird punch, which is the Virginia state bird. I like this project because by time you run out you can make another for any occasion or season! I hope I'm ok with this post. Thanks for stopping by! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Pumpkin Patch

Our little grandson went to the Pumpkin Patch the other day. He bought me back a baby pumpkin for my birthday! It was so cute. He really loved the corn bin to play in; ahh much better than sand! Some of the pumpkins are bigger than he is. I used punches to make the pumpkins and leaves and gourds are from the Autumn Harvest Stamp Set. This little candle was 'stamped' using French Foilage as well as the coaster to hold it. I saw one on Ilina Crouse's blog and it was so neat. I used the Leaves Die #2 and ran the leaves thru the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to add dimension. Makes a nice gift! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

My Digital Studio

This card was inspired by a card made by Patty Bennett. I used My Digital Studio to created the paper from the Nite Owl Designer Paper collection then brayered the sky after masking off for the moon and added a greeting from that same collection. Very quick and easy when you use MDS! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Stamp A Holics Challenge 142

Carole' Anne provided this great inspirational challenge today. The colors are gorgeous - God always paints a pretty picture. Of course it being fall colors the French Foliage (121166)came to mind. I used More Mustard, Cajun Craze & Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and classic inks for this project. I just opened the Crochet Trim Chantilly 1/2", ahhh perfect fit! The Regal Designer Buttons were in this same order so naturally they fit as well. After Thoughts Hostess Set (120121) completes the card! This took about 15 minutes to make. Oh I scalloped the Cajun Craze at the bottom and distressed the Very Vanilla using the new Stampin Up Distressing Kit. Be sure and go by our new blog, Stamp-A-Holics, and play along. Would love to see your creations. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Shaving Cream Technique

Here's an oldie but goodie technique. Try it sometime, it's really fun & messy! LOL Line a shallow pan or plastic stamp case with shaving cream, drizzle several matching colors of reinkers on top, swirl around a little - lay cardstock on top and 'pull off'. I let mine sit a few seconds before wiping the shaving cream off. It makes a great backgound. Get inky! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Christmas Froggie

Here's my Christmas punchie froggie! He was easy to do and all punches. Recipe: Beard - Large scallop circle, 2 red small oval (hat) strip of ribbon punch for hat and fur, 2 small olive ovals for legs, trio flower for feet, large oval for face, 3/4 circle eyes, 1/2 white, 3/8" 3 punch set. The tummy is the wide oval punch. I think he is so cute! Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

Perfect little pick me up for the cold and flu season. It has a small tissue box and 2 cough drops! Quick, Easy and someone knows you 'care'! I made this Halloween card to use some of the black tissue paper which adds alot to a card. I put Stickles on the spider to make him sparkle and accented with Old Olive brads. Paper Cupcake

I have been trying to clean my craft room and it is a mess! But i have been making some organizational progress. Sure makes it easier except when I can't remember where I put things. Anyway I had this on my 'list' to try so here is my attempt at a paper cupcake. The flower on top was made using coffee filter paper and turned out lots better than the picture and it does look like icing! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'
