Nature Silhouettes

Great 'man' card!!! I know my hubby would love it. There was not enough tree for the deer (or at least that is what I thought) so i stamped the top 1/2 again and then used the maple tree from Lovely as a Tree to fill it out more. The sky is Apricot Appeal; More Mustard and Summer Sun. Mountains are Handsome Hunter and Black sponged over a layer of Close to Cocoa. I hope you like it. I just could not figure out how to finish it off and not cover up the picture. The inside has the verse that is in the Nature Silhouettes stamp set mounted on Handsome Hunter. Oh I embossed the tree and deer! I love this technique and stamp set! I only embellished using the ribbon & I cut 1/2 of the tab punch and added it using 2 brads. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Embrace Life

The rocks are Great Impressions stamp. I brayed the water and sky w/ Pacific Point & Bali Breeze then sponged the mountains with a combination of Garden Green & Handsome Hunter and Always Artichoke. Then I ran over the water with the white gel pen. Adding brads and saying adds the accent to this card. It was mounted on Pacific Point with an Always Articoke mat. I just wanted to try one on my own. Oh and then I stamped the leaves on the side and colored the leaves with Old Olive Marker. Enjoy and until my next post, Happy Stampin' and Scrappin' Nancy

Acetate Tree

I stamped this tree on a sheet of acetate. Since I did not have a small owl, I printed the owl on So Saffron cardstock then masked the moon and sponged with More Mustard and YoYo Yellow. I adhered the acetate over the owl using eyelets. A stamped tie was made with twill tape. Just a quick note card. It has rained all day today but we really need it in this area so I guess it is the real beginning of Fall. Have fun and until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Scallop Punch Christmas Ornament

Use Stampin' Up's Scallop Circle Punch to make this cute little Christmas ornament. A little tree full of these would be adorable. Punch 12 circles, fold in half and glue together being sure to put the loop inside one of the circles and the dangles inside one. The beads are from the Stampin' Up Pretties Kit. Enjoy! Glitter 'em, embellish as you wish or not at all. Maybe punch one solid and one print would be cute. Also keep in mind Sizzix has several sizes of scallop circles that would make different size ornaments. Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Watermelon Invite!

I made this sometime ago using the watermelon slice from Doodlecharms. Guess it is a little late for the season. Anyway I glazed the seeds with Crystal Effects and the tag is a Stampin' Up punch. I just thought it was a cute idea. I hinged it together with tabs. It's pouring down rain today so my internet is fading in and out but we really need the rain! Well I'm off to clean house! WOW... or maybe NOT! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

True Friend

Made this card this am using 'retired' SU products. Bali Breeze retired Designer Series Paper was used on the Top Note cut using Cricut Accent Essentials. The two flowers are cut with Pumpkin Pie & Taken w/ Teal bradded together with the SU brad kit! Love that kit and the dew drops that magnify the image underneath. I cut a 2" scallop w/ Cricut and put stick-on pearls for accent. The clips are 'unknown' on the True Friend Stamp! Just a quick note card for a good friend. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Stand Up Card

This card is so cute. I saw it on Ret's blog and she was kind enough to send me the directions. If you would like them, please email me and I will forward her instructions to you. This was made using SU's Live Your Dream stamp set and the Holiday Happenings Hostess paper! and it actually folds up to fit a standard envelope (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). What a great idea! I used Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirquette & Baja Breeze inks (the new InColors from Stampin' Up)...ya gotta love 'em! Enjoy your day and until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin'

It's not a Zindorf!

Well as you can see I am still 'practicing' and learning. For #1, USE ONLY STAMPIN' UP Whisper White. I used cheap Walmart and it does not brayer correctly! The tree is an old Art Impressions borrowed from a friend and since I did not have a tiny owl stamp, I printed it from my computer directly to the paper. I stamped the tree and embossed in black, colored it then used the Versamark pen to go over the tree and owl with clear embossing powder. I masked off the moon with the 1 3/8 punch; lightly brayered with Bashful Blue & Bordering Blue. It is distress with Black (SU). I put some So Saffron on the moon for color. THEN... I badly smudged where the words are so I had to put the words on a mat (stamp is unknown). It was a comedy of errors but turned out OK so I decided to post it anyway. I read somewhere most art teachers tell you never to throw away your mistakes but FIX them so this is 'fixed'. Michelle Zindorf would probably laugh at this attempt but I decided to share it anyway! LOL Have a GREAT weekend! The weather is gorgeous here today! Just having fun and until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Ghirardelli Chocolate Box

This is the cutest little box. (Instructions - CLICK HERE) Thanks Rosa! I used retired Afternoon Tea Designer Paper from Stampin' Up which I really like. The box is accented by a pink ribbon tie. You can also make a belly band for it. I think the box is a little big for about 4 or 5 Ghirardelli's so I may make another one day and make a few adjustments! What a great little remembrance gift for anyone on your list! Finished it measures about 3 x 3. Oh BTW - I have not been shopping and only had 2 Ghirardelli's on hand! but it does hold more! Thanks for stopping by and Have A Great Stampin' & Scrappin' Day... until next time, Nancy

SORRY -

OK let's try this again... here is the link - BASKET LINK I thought I had posted this but must have been a 'mental-pausal' moment. It is gorgeous. Sorry again. Nancy

Great Gift Basket!

I made this (my second one) little paper woven basket. See my post from a few days ago for link to the instructions. I just think they are so cute and so much potential for a really unique gift... I did some re-figuring and made this from one sheet of 12x12 Close to Cocoa SU paper! The flowers are Prima (craftersalley.com) Then I used SU Really Rust for the small weave at the bottom and around the top to complete the look. A cello bag filled with sugar cookies makes a great, personal gift! Of course they are homemade by Walmart! (but they are really good) Anyway, I hope you like it. Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Waterfall Card

This Waterfall Card was made using Bugs & Kisses Stampin' Up stamp set; Chocolate brown, Old Olive, Really Rust cardstock. Instead of a pull ribbon I used the tab punch for a more masculine look. Matching envelope features a snail w/ a 'snail trail' using Stickles (craftersalley.com) When you pull the tab the bugs flip up and there is a message. Great kids card. We are making these Friday night at a class. The directions are on the SU website under patterns, cards. Enjoy! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Woven Basket

Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen? I was so impressed when I saw this on the internet I had to 'run' make one. The directions are HERE. This was posted on one of my groups and I just had to share. I have not decorated mine yet and plan to 'try' again today. It is just so different and complete woven from SU kraft paper. Try one! When I get this one decorated I will post it for you. It is made using 12x12 paper cut into strips. What a great idea to give someone something VERY special! A cello bag with candy/cookies, survival kit, or just about anything that will fit! Until next time, Happy Scrappin' and Stampin' Nancy

Dreams

Using the new stamp set Dreams du Jour, I stamped and cut out the center of the circle. I found this background I had stamped a long time ago so I colored the flowers to match the cardstock and ribbon - perfect fit! This was a 'scrap' card - the ribbon was the last of the roll! I love using up left-overs. Just a quick note card. Thanks for stopping by...until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Frame Art Stamper

What a great addition to a stampers work area? Measuring 8.5x8.5, this art piece is Hunter Green cardstock accented with Night of Navy cardstock. Embellishments include twined button, photo corner, eyelets & ribbon. Anyone would be proud to display this handstamped picture. Vellum stamped verse reads 'The greatest achievements were at first and for some time dreams'. This item is featured on MY ETSY STORE Thanks for stopping by and until next post, Happy Stampin' and Scrappin' Nancy

Flip Card

I used the new In-colors from Stampin' Up to make this cute note card. Pacific Point & Kiwi Kiss are the colors for the mat (cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities) and card base. When you pull up the ribbon the picture slides up to reveal a message. I dyed the ribbon with the reinker as instructed in the new Stampin' Up 2008 Fall/Winter catalog. Picture was stamped using Serene Spring, a Stampin' Up Hostess set and colored with various markers. The butterfly on the envelope accents the card! Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

The 'Late-Great' Sock Monkey

This little fellow has been around longer than Carol DuVal! He is soooo cute! What a great tribute stamp. I used Chocolate Chip for the card base and Summer Sun for the mat. I sponged the monkey with Chocolate Chip then colored his red 'parts' with the SU Real Red marker; cut out the monkey and banana placing the monkey on the card using pop-dots. I hope you like him! I used the tab punch after stamping the words in Chocolate Chip and Summer Sun then sponged the edges. Until next time, Happy Stampin' and Scrappin' Nancy

Halloween Tic - Tac

I saw these orange Tic Tacs at the grocery store and could not resist. I cut the binding and used the Cuttlebug to emboss. The pumpkin is a Cricut cut, shaded and a hole punched in the center. Ribbon was from the $ store! I cut skinny white strips f paper, wet it, wrapped it around a toothpick to make the curly-ques; leaves were Prima. Just a fun 'treat'... Have a great day, until next time -- Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Dreams du Jour

I again was inspired by Michelle Zindorf. The butterfly was colored with Stampin Up markers, embossed then cut out. It is on a pop dot for that 3D effect. I sponged color on the background after stamping Embrace Life leaves, coloring them with Old Olive. The corner pic is on a pop dot from the new Dreams du Jour Stamp set; all mounted on Almost Amethyst cardstock base with a Blush Blossom mat. I pierced 2 rows of holes across the top for accent. I love that new stamp set and SU's new color papers as well. Tomorrow the new catalog will be available online for your 'drouling' pleasure! Have a great day... Until next time, Happy Scrappin' and Stampin' Nancy

Trash-2-Treasure - Big Shot

As some of you may know, Stampin' Up will now be carrying the BIG SHOT! with some exclusive SU dies. They will be available in the new Holiday Mini. If you already have, as I do the Big Kick, you can still take advantage of the exclusive dies. This is an acrylic box I made using the 'packaging' that the Sizzix Takeout Box came in! This die has to be cut in two pieces and put together. I used Sticky Strip to adhere it and then SU Pretties Kit to decorate. I dry embossed one piece using the Cuttlebug dry embossing folder; used the Crop-a-dial to cut the holes for the ribbon handle; dyed the flowers using SU classic ink. I hope you like it... I stuffed it with tissue paper so you could see the embossing better. Who says you can't utilize the trash? Think about it before you throw out any packaging - the possibilities are ENDLESS!

Be My Guest

Great way to recycle all those shampoos, soap etc you collect if you travel. I made the little box with my Cricut to fit shampoo, lotion, conditioner and cut Be My Guest adhering it to box. Then I wrapped the soap and decorated the top. Good little gift (keepsake) to have on hand for your over-night guests! Until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Lone Tree

I didn't realize it has been so long since I posted -- Next week will be better! I'm still trying to get back on track and clean my craft room. I made this by brayering Bali Breeze across the top of the card and sponged So Saffron, Kiwi Kiss & black on the card. The moon was masked off so I put a little so saffron & more mustard to make it pop. The lone tree was cut using Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge. There is 'something' missing but I liked it anyway, hope you do. Till next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy
