Last Post (Promise)
This is my last post today (promise). I am going to have to quit posting these or no one will come to my 'introduction' night!
What a great idea to use the slim CD cases for picture frames. The idea came from 'The Creative Frog' I ended up with lots of these cases and what a great way to use them. I used the Felt Sweet Pea flowers from the new Stampin' Up mini and some of the new designer paper pack. The oval frame is for the picture! Hope you like it.
Until next time!

From My Home to Yours
Such cute paper from Stampin' Up Sale-A-Brations! It comes in a 6 x 6 padded book with all sorts of designs! LOVE IT... you can go to my Stampin' Up website or the main Stampin' Up website and view the Sale-A-Brations mini online but the sale starts January 5! For every $50. you spend in merchandise you can receive a FREE item from the mini! How great is that! I see lots I want to get which means - THERE GOES THE BUDGET!
I used Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and inks.
I am having an "Introduction" to the new mini's on January 4 so I'm trying to make some samples using the new items from Stampin' Up. Wish me luck.
Until next time!

Valentine Treat Cup
This card was made using the Sweet Treat cups for Valentines filled with punched hearts from the Something Sweet Stamp Set premiring January 5! The papers used are Real Red & Pretty in Pink Cardstock, Sending Love Speciality DSP. Great thing about this designer paper, it sparkles! Just adding a little bling is fantastic. I used the scallop corner and edge punch to make the rectangle. These punches are in the Sale-A-Brations mini and the Occasions mini which means the edge punch is FREE! (with a $50. purchase) Hope you like it!
Until next time!

Zindorf's Card Index
If you follow Michelle Zindorf's tutorials, you would have seen this one. She didn't actually do a tutorial just shared the pictures with us. This was done on a mesh Rolodex (I bought mine at Walmart for $9.98). It is for Special Days (Birthdays, Anniversary, etc.) You have room on the card to put name, address, date, gift list, want list, etc. The cards are cut from the Address Stampin' Up Die. It is a smidge taller than the cards that come with the Rolodex. But what a great idea for personal use or, best of all, a gift idea! Michelle says she may even make one for addresses! Go figure. Hope you like it.
I had to improvise some since I did not have the exact sets Michelle used. Oh by the way they are not in order in the photos.
Until next time!

Merry Christmas to ALL & Two Quick Shares
I made this little Chocolate Chip gift box (Stampin' Up Fancy Box die) quickly this A.M. using Gold Shimmer Paint and stitched Grosgrain ribbon accented with a snowflake and corduroy button tied with hemp.
The little mouse was made just for a pattern for NEXT year! He will be cuter shaded and a bigger candy cane! (I put them away and couldn't find them LOL) But what a cute little mouse and would be neat as a gift tag or add on ornament.
Hope you and yours have a great Christmas! Stay safe, warm and dry (it's pouring rain here)!
Until next time!

January Club Project
Thought this would be a great Valentine Project for our January Stamp Club meeting. It is made using the Mover & Shapers Die. It's cut and scored 3/4 around all sides and makes the neatest box and holds eight Hershey Nuggets. I wrapped each nugget in DSP that will be coming out in the January Mini-catalog. The two glittered hearts were punched using the new Stampin' Up punch and I used mini glue dots to attach to the ends of the ribbon.
Perfect little gift item, quick and easy and can be adapted for any occasion.
Well today was Christmas Eve and tomorrow is the big day. I do hope all a Merry Christmas and everyone is healthy, safe and loved.
Until next time!

Candy Cane Bucket
This little bucket had Prima Flowers and screamed 'alter me' so... I used punches to make the face and free hand on the holly. Quick and easy gift for say the 'guy in brown' or the postman.
Hope you and everyone have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I want to thank all that visited my blog and blessings to anyone I have inspired. I hope to continue to hone my creativity. Thanks to all of you that have helped and supported me throughout the year. God Bless!
Until next time!

Tile & Gift Bag
Lots of tiles are being made for the holidays and I found one that I had purchased over a year ago and thought I'd try my hand. I stamped with Stazon and made a tag and used the wide oval for the Peace, Love & Joy and backed it with the 1 3/4 circle and two 1 1/4 circle and it worked perfectly. You can see lots more beautiful tiles at the My Crafty World blogspot. Tiffany used craft inks and then covered with SU Enamel Embossing powder and baked at 350 for 12 minutes. Mine was not baked but I think I may cover and try it.
The gift bag was done by stamping snowflakes all over a brown paper bag I bought at Big Lots and using a card front we made at my stamp-a-stack! Good way to use card fronts and make a quick gift bag at the same time. You could do this for any occasion.
Hope eveyrone is ready for Christmas! I did get out today but the snow has made all the side roads really bad so I plan on staying in for a while.
Until next time!

Vintage Vogue
Another sneak peek of the new things coming in January! I used the Stampin' Up Vintage Vogue stamp set and wheel on this card along with the new Shades of Spring designer paper. I love this color combo as you can probably tell and it is so 'happy/cheery' after all this dreary weather. Gives you a reason to hope for brighter days!
Card base is Orchid Opulence and the DSP is matted with Certainly Celery. I used the new border punch available thru Sale-A-Brations (coming soon). Each flower is accented with a pearl from the Pretties Kit and the sentiment adorned with a Vanilla HodgePodge frame. The 'F' is accented using the DSP and the corner punch available in the new January mini-catalog. I hope you like it, if so please leave a comment. (I love comments) Have a great day and go get stampin'
Until next time!

Pennant Die
I finally broke down and bought the Pennant die and made this pennant with the Join in the Cheer decorative die strip! I added snowflakes and a pretty bow. Quick and easy wall decoration. As you can imagine I found the words in my stash already cut and just wanted to use something I had on hand! I like the pennant die but am not sure what else can be done with it. The picture in the catty looks like a box and I'm not sure I have ever noticed a box made from it. Well more to come soon. Today we're all staying in and staying warm. Finally stopped snowing and the world is calm, peaceful and blanketed in white stuff! (lots of white stuff)
Until next time!

Another take on the Stamping 411 Challenge
I'm trying to put together cards for my next SAS (Stamp A Stack) next weekend and thought this might be a good one which is a slight variation from the Stamping 411 Challenge. I used the bridal paper and brayered it with Real Red mounted it on some Real Red Cardstock and you gotta love the little penguin! He is so cute and wintery! He's mounted on a red Scallop cut from the pennant die and stamped on the scallop punch.
Of course we have enough snow to be wintery for months. LOL Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment if you like my card for the SAS.
Until next time!

Stamping 411 Challenge
It's been a while since I have done any challenges. They are so fun and really makes you think and inspiring! This is for the Stamping 411 Blog. I used the new Vintage Vogue Stamp set & wheels and the new Shades of Spring Designer paper both coming out in the new Mini-catalog coming out January 5 which is not that far away! Cardstock used - Certainly Celery, Orchid Opulence, So Saffron.
Well it finally quit snowing here with about 15" or more. It is really pretty but gonna be a mess the next few days. Good time to stay in and stamp!
Until next time!

Altered Tin
I was cleaning out my closet and found these tins I ordered from Stampin' Up a long time ago and thought I'd try one since being inspired by one Mary Jo Price-Williams had done. I wrapped a pen and put rubber bands and paper clips along with a big sticky note pad, 2010 calendar on the inside. Great thingee to put in your car's glove box or a desk drawer or your purse.
I used sizzix sizzlits to make the flowers and the beautiful little butterflies. They are from a new die coming January 5 and a MUST HAVE! I used the Nouveau Chic Designer Paper along with Apricot Appeal and Sage Shadow.
At first I put black flourishes and then I cut some Basic Gray ones and added Platium Shimmer Paint on top and it looks much better with the Black CS as an outline. The Stampin' Up new Shimmer Paint in the Holiday mini will be carried over till the new catty in July. It is a nice addition to your crafting paints!
Until next time!

Let it SNOW!!!
As most of you know the east coast is being bombarded by SNOW! I live in Central Virginia and it is about 12 inches now and still coming down... these are the cars and an idea of the weather. Thank goodness so far I still have electricity and Internet. My interent connection is 'line of sight' wireless so it did go out some last night when the snow was heavy! It is really pretty but keeps you indoors!
This weekend was my last stamping clubs of the year and the new one begins in January. Well I don't think anyone can make it today or probably not tomorrow. Sled, anyone???
Until next time!

Gift Box
This little gift box was made from the cardboard insert that came in the Stampin' Up Fancy Box die (recycling!). I stamped it with Night of Navy snowflakes and made the cute little tag from the Stampin Up Bigz Tag Die. The embellishment is made using a 1 1/4 inch Night of Navy cardstock strip punched along the edge with the new edge punch coming out January 5!
White ribbon accents the little box along with a Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon handle! I should have distressed it along the edges - next time! Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time!

Valentine Box
This Valentine box was inspired by a similar box on another blog but theirs was done for Christmas. I think I am going to buy stock in Hershey! I have used more Hershey nuggets and kisses in the last five years and are too numerous to count! LOL
I put 3 matchbox bottoms together from the Stampin Up matchbox die using Real Red then added the Chocolate Chip brads on the front. The patterned paper is the new DSP that is coming out January 5 in the new mini-catalog. It is so pretty and has print on both sides BUT one side is glittered! Very elegant. I used the Level I Hostess set to stamp the sentiment. The hinges are made from one of the labels on the Matchbox die secured with an eyelet.
Until next time!

Valentine's Day
This is a little mini album for Valentine and I used the new Stampin' Up Sizzlit for the rose and LOVE! The heart is also a new Stampin' Up Sizzlit. The paper is Valentine DSP in the mini-catalog coming out in January. Just wanted to make something not Christmas-y!
Great brag book or album for a special 'Valentine' occasion!

Grand-Dogs!
These black & white boxes were made for the Grand-dogs for Christmas. They are filled with milk bones & treats! I used the retired paw prints around the bottom and made the top with black cardstock and topped with two shiney snowflake die cuts secured with a rhinestone brad.
I'm sure they'll like them! LOL
Until next time!

Another Sneak Peek
Yet another sneak peek of the stuff coming January in the new Stampin' Up mini-catalog. I love this Shades of Spring paper or must be just tired of Christmas stuff and ready for a change... go figure!
The little butterfly sizzlit is adorable and sooooo cute. It cuts and embosses 5 butterflies at once (all are pictured on this card). The edging on the vanilla mat was done using two NEW punches - the corner punch and then edging punch. They are made differently than the old Stampin' Up punches to make storage easier.
Can't wait to introduce my customers to all the new goodies! Remember JANUARY 5... Until then I will try and post more samples.
Oh wanted to share the packages - wrapped with kraft paper and stenciled using the ornament Decor Elements stencil. The cable box is discontinued as well as the burgundy ribbon but I wanted to show you some great gift decorating ideas.
Until next time!

Some Quick Shares
I wanted to remember the circle technique so I made this card quickly using the new Stampin Up DSP - Shades of Spring along with Orchid Opalence, Certainly Celery, So Saffron and one of the NEW Stampin' Up Valentine Bear Sizzlits. Inside I put I 'heart' you beary much from the stamp set and the Sizzlits paw print. I was going to take a picture but the battery died sooooo. I just love this new stuff! The circles were made using the slit punch. I am so glad there is another use for that punch! Gretchen Barron has a nice tutorial on how to do this on her blog today!
There are just so many things on the internet that you want to be sure not to forget and doesn't leave much time for creating!!! or at least for me. I need to walk away from the computer!
The second card was made using Razzleberry paper accented with Mambo Melon cardstock. I did this one using the 'brick' technique on Splitcoast stampers under Resources. I used the stamp set for the jewelry called Charmed; it is in the current mini catalog.
Thanks for stopping by and am off to try and find a new Christmas tree. I am trying to decorate one but my kitty loves the hanging ornaments and is trying to sit in it. And would you believe our local Walmart has NO tinsel! NONE, NODA - go figure!
Until next time!
