2x2 Candy Box

What a great little gift box for a ring, necklace, bracelet, candy, etc!!! I used the large scallop circle with my Big Shot and cut a 2 1/16 square and placed it in the middle and scored down each side to form the top. Then I cut a 6x6 square and with my Scor-Pay scored every 2 inches all the way around. Decorated to suit and VOILA' a cute little box! PS I have to work all week helping out with vacationing employees, so my posts will be short and sweet! Thanks for stopping by! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

New Hostess Level III

This is one of the new Spring/Summer Level III Hostess sets (Dream A Little) and I love it. The little flowers are so cute. Can't wait till the new catalog comes out January 18! and see all the new items SU has in store! I used Not Quite Navy paper and the printed is from a hostess gift in the current catalog. I punched three holes with a 1 3/8" punch, then punched the larger holes with the 1 3/4" punch. I stamped the little flowers on very vanilla cardstock, the ribbon is Very Vanilla Taffeta. Happy Hello

I used the new Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge to create this note card. (5") I stamped it with the weathered wood stamp (SU retired) and shaded with ink and SU markers. The Old Olive CS is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I really love this little cartridge especially the santa & this sign! Hope you like it. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy PS Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and looking forward to a prosperous New Year or at least a creative one!

Gift in a Bottle

I love to give Door Prizes at my get-togethers! This little prize has a stamping spot, stamp, marker & glue stick! I used a new Hostess Set (Dream a Little) from the upcoming Spring/Summer catalog for the front label. It is a great hostess set for our upcoming workshops! All this is packaged in a soda bottle. You do this by cutting the bottle in 1/2. I usually leave about one inch attached to make is easier to match up. Fill the bottle then use packing tape to put the bottle back together. Decorate to your taste to create this unique gift. Until next post, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Valentine's Tri-Fold

We are having a class on this little tri-fold coaster picture frame/calendar in January. This was made using the Valentine Promotion SU is having now! You get the paper, punch & stamp set at 20% off. Check out the details on my Stampin' Up website. This all mounted on three 4x4 coasters! The stamp set is perfect for your favorite Valentine! The cardstock is Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla. I punched extra hearts and glued them together to give it the chipboard effect and adhered to the tri-fold using popdots. Ho Ho Ho

This has a dual purpose - Ornament & Gift Card Holder. It is all Cricut; the inside pocket was made using Tags & More (crayon holder) and the sleigh is from Christmas Cheer. It is small enough for a gift card yet can be hung on the tree as an ornament. I hope everyone is having a great Christmas season and just having fun. Hope Santa leaves alot of 'crafting' gifts and if not, the money to order your own. LOL MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy PS My post from yesterday did not go out in email - go figure! But it is a cute idea so please visit my blog and your comments are always appreciated!

T.L.C. for your Cold!

This may get posted twice! I hit the wrong button and am not sure what happened to it! This is a really cute way to remember someone that is a bit under the weather. It is cold and flu season so there will probably be alot of opportunities. I have seen this on several blogs and not sure who to credit! Dimensions: 3" x 10"; score 4 1/2" from each end to form the 1" spine. Decorate to your liking! I used an SU retired Designer Paper and decorated with the felt flowers adhered with a brad. The inside greeting is from the Everyday Greetings Cuttlebug embossing folder. The front greeting is the SU Puns from the Past Stamp Set (I love that set). Just a great way to say 'I hope you feel better'! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Cuttlebug Embossing Folders

Well this was quite a weekend. My dd came up and 3 of my beautiful grandchildren and of course we 'crafted'! She has an online store, craftersalley.com, and she brought some new stuff and naturally we had to 'play'! The first two cards we made using the new Cuttlebug embossing folder, Everyday greetings. It has the folder as well as a die w/ various everyday greetings! Nice addition to your embossing folder collection. The first card was made using new Core'dinations Color Core Cardstock Vintage Collection. I embossed the flowers then sanded off the top and WOW it just POPS! Then I went over the words with atyouSpica glitter color markers. You probably can't see that on the photo but the words sparkle! Not too much but just enought to give it some spark! Both these items are available at craftersalley.com. I added flower centers w/ Stickles! The other card was made using SU's pumpkin pie & garden green paper with brad flower centers. The Die Cut words are included in the Cuttlebug embossing folder. The next set of pictures were done with Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock as well. The Halloween House (yes I know, not the season BUT...) was done with their Black Magic collection. One side is textured and one side is black. It really made the Halloween House pop after sanding! I used Flexible Phrases (SU) for the happy Halloween and embossed it in black and cut with the Word Punch. I 'slimmed' it with the green glitter pen. The spider was cut from the Cricut Paper Doll cartridge (1") and I glazed him with Crystal Effects. The other card was done with Cuttlebug Birthday Candle embossing folder and the words cut from the die that comes with it. I glittered the Happy Bday w/ the glitter pens and the candle flames were done with Stickles! Sanding the new paper just makes those folders POP! Hope you enjoy these creations and get some insiration from them! I just love trying new things and this paper is just fantastic as well as the new atyouSpica glitter pens. Until my next post, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Wii wish...

I made this for my grandkids to buy a Wii game. There are so many and I just didn't know what to get so... I printed the 'wish you a' on the printer then cut Wii from the Opposite Attracts Cricut Cartridge (2.5 and 2 inches); stamped Merry Christmas and punched out with the word punch and adhered with Pop Dots. I cut the curve from the back using the Top Note die and used the piece to put on the front. Until my next post, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Christmas Houses

I have been a little lax on making cards or paper crafts. Getting ready for Christmas & cleaning has been my priority (sometimes you just have to do it) Anyway I finished 3 more Christmas houses I had started when I was staying with my sister. They will soon join the other 30 or so I have painted for my kids so they can all have a Christmas Village! Just thought I'd share something a little different this time. This all started when my very dear freind, Brenda, gave me these houses to paint! Hope everyone is well on the way to getting ready for Christmas. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Dash Away All...

I posted this on the Cricut site but don't think I posted here. The santa was cut (2") using the Christmas Noel Cricut cartridge. I brayed the background with Pacific Blue; brayered the mountains with green & black ink; stamped tree tops with Lovely as a Tree. I don't know what we're gonna do when Stampin' Up retires this set. It is so versatile. Santa was adhered using pop dots for dimension. The inside reads, Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night! Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Only 7 days left! Hope everyone is more prepared than I am! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

A.B.C. - Anything but Christmas

Again I was cleaning off my table and found this plaid background I made years ago and I had just finished practicing coloring the flower with pencils thus... I used SU pencils on the flower (Hostess Set Level 1) and Summer Sun CS. Then I found these little tablets I bought years ago and made this 4x4 coaster magnet for the refrigerator using retired designer paper. I just love using left-overs and things I find around my craft room. Well back to Christmas and planning for the New Year. Remember I enjoy hearing from you and any ideas for the New Year would be greatly appreciated! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Top Note Gift Card Holder

I saw this on a site and it really caught my eye! Its a really great way to give a gift card and it is quick and easy! I used Pacific Blue Ink and paper & I dyed the ribbon to match. Thanks to Wild Rose Paper Creations we have another Top note idea. The tutorial was her first and she did a really good job! Check it out! Sorry the inside picture is blurry, my camera was dying! Until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Elongated Pouch

This is a variation of the Stampin' Up Big Shot Pouch die. You just fold your paper in half and cut using the crease pad and you can make the pouch about 6.5" long! I cut the pouch then punched the SU heart punch on each end and lined it with acetate, filled with candy hearts. I stamped random hearts on the outside. The belly band covers the crease line and is stamped with the new Valentine stamp which fits the SU punch perfectly! Paper is Pacific Point & Baja Breeze! Until next post, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Soccer Toppers

A really good friend of mine gave me some of this soccer wrapped candy so I had to make something! I came up with these toppers - I must admit the soccer balls are from Microsoft Gallery. I printed them 1 1/4" then they cut perfectly with my 1 1/4 inch punch. A spritz of ribbon tops it off! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Another Gift Card Holder

The other day I just couldn't come up with anything so I had some of these scraps on my craft table so I just put them together and it turned out pretty good. I cut the deer from the new Noel Christmas Cricut Cartridge; the snowflake is a Sizzix die coated with glitter; the scallop punch is Stampin' Up as well as the cardstock (Night of Navy and Bashful Blue) and I cut the top note from SU's die cut. To make the pocket on the Top Note, I folded the cardstock up about 1.5 inches and then cut the Top note. To coat the snowflake with glitter, I ran it thru the Zyron to get it sticky! Works great! I love that SU ribbon! Until next time, Happy Stampin' and Scrappin' Nancy

Santa Magic Wallet

These magie wallets are just the ticket to giving someone a gift card! I used Stampin Up padded 6x6 paper and used the Big Shot to cut the scalloped fur. The tag is reversible and has a message on both sides. Using the 'belt' belly band holds anything inside in place. It is a perfect size for a gift card or money (which works for me LOL). If you are unfamiliar with a Magic Wallet; when you open the wallet from one side the money is on the side with the X and when you open the wallet from the other side the money appears under the two strips of ribbon. Thanks for stopping by. Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Ornament/Gift Card

Using 2 4" circle coasters, I made this ornament/gift card holder! I cut 2 red 4" circles using Cricut and then cut a chunk out of one coaster using the edge of the Big Shot envelope die (Stampin' Up) then cut a piece of whisper white to make the 'collar'. I cut the white 'fur' and put a paper belt on the ornament. If I make another one I am going to use some other color rather than black. I attached that to the back of the collar and then attached the gift card to the black card stock. After gluing just around the edge of the 2 coasters, the card and collar piece slides down between them. It is sturdy enough to be used as an ornament as well as a gift item. Hope you like it! I added a sprig of holly (silk leaves) and colored 3 little pearls with red ink and Crystal Effects for the berries! Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Punchie Penguin

A friend of mine shared this with me and of course I had to make one! Thanks, Delores W. He is soooo cute. Makes a great gift card holder and another way to utilize your punches. I used the oval punches (small, medium & large), the round ones in 4 sizes (1 1/4, 1, 3/4 and the 1/4") Stampin Up, of course. Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Little Candy Purse

My friend gave our Stamp Club members a little purse that holds a Hershey Nugget. She bought it from a local craft fair a few weeks ago from Cindy B. (Thank you Cindy for the inspiration). I made a few for my granddaughters! They are too cute and good way to use your scraps!!! and tiny embellishments. Would be a great treat for small school kids making one for the boys from kraft paper and a small handle like a book bag! Until my next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Frap Carton

This was made from a Starbucks Frap carton w/ 4 bottles. They can be filled with chocolate peanuts/raisins, cinnamon candies or just any type candy. OR you can fill one with hot chocolate mix; peppermints; marshmallows & Hershey's kisses. What a great gift for that 'choc-aholic'! Anyway I used the Valentine bundle from Stampin' Up that will be available December 23 with Riding Hood Red cardstock, Close to Cocoa & Pink pirouette. The stamp set is 'Love You Much'. I still need to make a note card for them. (oops) I used the Cuttlebug to cut the ovals for the bottles and the scallop circle punch for the Love You Much stamp! Plus it is recycled! Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Valentine Pouch

Everyone is doing so much Christmas but after all it is that time of year, I decided to jump into Valentines Day. I made this pouch using the Big Shot Pouch Die (SU, of course). I punched the hearts in it using the new SU punch I received with a new Valentine bundle that goes on sale December 23. You get the punch, a beautiful Valentine Designer Paper pack & a stamp set! I put acetate behind the punched hearts and filled with Valentine heart candy. Accented by adding a silver cord bow and used 2 hearts glued together for the bottom of the strings. OH and BTW, I know, I did NOT use SU designer paper. This paper is from a Design Cuts w/ a View paper slab. (my bad!) Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Scallop Card

Quick & Easy scallop punch card. Real Red is the base and I used the prints from Hostess Level 1 6x6 papers and stamped Merry Christmas w/ the Punches Three set. It is adhered using dimensionals to make it pop. For accent I used the red ribbon. Gotta love the scallop punch! PS Please sign my Guest Book and I look forward to any comments! Thanks Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Punched Froggie!

I used SU punches to make this cute little Santa Frog. The body (green) was an oval Cuttlebug Nestability. The inside of the card says "Hoppy Christmas to you!". Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black & Garden Green were used to make the frog with DSP for the background. Just couldn't resist him! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Golfer's Gift Certificate

I made this for a friend of mine for an odd-sized gift certificate (3 3/4 x 8). I had some 4x36 gray paper (not sure how I came about that) anyway, I folded over, brayered first layer with So Saffron then Ballet Blue then shaded the sun with Summer Sun, a touch of Mustard and the edges with Night of Navy. The grass is a combination of Kiwi Kiss & Hunter Green. I don't own a golfer stamp but I found a line art at Microsoft, printed it on acetate and transfered it to the card. The ball is golf ball paper and I added a tag for accent and used a velcro dot for the closure. Hope she likes it!!! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

T.L.C. for your Cold!

Cold and flu season is upon us and what a great little gift for a co-worker, friend, family member. I have seen this on several blogs and had to try one! Dimenions: 3" x 10"; score 4 1/2" from each end to make the 1" spine. Decorate to your liking! I used a retired SU designer paper. The stamped greeting is SU's Puns from the Past (love that set). I used felt flowers by SU adhered with a brad. The inside greeting was cut from Cuttlebug's die that was included in the Everyday Greetings Embossing folder! Just a cute idea - thanks for the inspiration! Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Gotta Love Those Penguins

Ever need a quick candy dish? I love to recycle so I made this penguin candy dish using a discarded CD stack cover! It is so cute. One side is the male/one side is the female. I guess since the black paper is behind the plastic it is not dark enough. I may try and make one putting the paper on the outside! We'll see. I have made candy dishes out of the CD stack covers for a lot of occasions. It's quick & inexpensive. The Top Note SU die was cut in 1/2 for each side and it is lined with Basic Black Cardstock. The bows are attached with Zots! Thanks for looking. Until next post, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

Snowman Topper

Ok last of the snowmen (maybe). This is a cute little topper made using the Top Note Big Shot die. I cut the white one doubled so it folds over the back and at the same time cut 1/2 in black. Then added the brim on the hat outlined with a white gel pen. The holly is silk w/ paper berries. Eyes are cut with the 3/4" SU circle punch with black dots and mouth with the 1/2" punch. The nose is designer paper cut using the small oval (only part of it). I put an oatmeal cookie inside the cello bag. Just a cute little give away! OR you can fill with candy, candy canes or just about anything. Enjoy! Would be excellent for a kid's classroom give-away! Thanks for stopping by and until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Snowman Bucket

This is a take off from the post from yesterday. I used a prima flower empty can and SU punches; 1/2" - mouth; 1 1/4 & 1" for the eyes and part of the small oval punch. The strip for the hat is 1" and used a white gel pen for the stitching. Holly was cut from a sizzix die on the Big Shot. Fill w/ candy canes, peppermints, or whatever suits your fancy for a great little gift. Thanks for stopping by. PS if there are any errors it is because I had eye surgery yesterday and have an abrasion on my eye and can't see really well. It will get better! Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Snowman Card

I love this design and it was posted with my Santa card on Alysabeth Johnston's blog spot. I was honored and had to make the snowman card - my take. I also noticed that you can make a goodie bucket with this same design. My cataract surgery is this am so after I get home, I may try the bucket. They are so cute and simple! Just using Stampin' Up circle punches and glue, makes him a real cutie. I added a spritz of Sizzix holly to his hat. Thanks for stopping by. (It's hard to do this with one eye!) Christmas Cookie Bucket

This is an altered Prima Flower can I lined with Holiday Wishes Stampin' Up Designer Paper and Rose Red. I stamped on the paper first and cut the words using the SU Die Cut and my Big Shot. I cut the words apart and placed on the cardstock. The tage is a Hostess Level 1 stamp set cut with the square scallop punch. I made the bow using 3/4" wide strips of designer paper and ran some pearls wthru it to add some glitz. Filled with sugar cookies topped off with a little bow to match. Great gift and can be filled with almost anything not just cookies! I love to alter cans, etc. Doing my part to recycle LOL! Just another fun project. Until next time, Happy Scrappin' & Stampin' Nancy

More Creative Cans

Taking a tall beer can (or beverage can) I cut these two Stampin' Up dies from one can, Top Note & Scallop Circle. Then I ran them thru the Big Shot using Cuttlebug embossing folders. Haven't made a card from them yet but I will. I just wanted to see how they would look embossed. They are not sharp after cutting with the Big Shot. It tends to put a tiny edge on them. You could use alcohol inks on them, stamp with Stazon. I just wanted to try embossing them. It is on some message boards that cutting soda cans with your SU punches will sharpen them so why not the dies as well. I did use my Fiskars rotary cutter to trim off the ragged edges. I cut the top and bottom out using Pampered Chef Kitchen Shears. It is relatively easy to cut. They adhere to the paper using ATG adhesive gun. It is quite sticky! Just another fun recycle craft project. I will share the finished cards when they are done! Thanks for stopping by. Until next time, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy

Recycle

Recycle those old drink/beer cans by cutting dies and punches. Everyone is talking about using an old can to sharpen your punches so why not the dies as well. It is not sharp when you cut it out either. ATG adhesive holds it well and it even RUNS THRU your Cuttlebug to emboss it. I did try that (not on this one) but it does work. I used Ballet blue for the bird, Night of Navy for the card and a Miller Light can for the Top Note (SU). We had beer in our basement since my daughter's wedding five years ago so I poured it out and recycled the cans!!! Had to do something with them and I knew I was saving that beer for something! LOL Give it a try and it opens lots of possibilities. I saw an ornament made out of one somewhere but can't remember which blog. I had to go buy a TALL BEER and pour it out so I could try the scallop circle (small cans are not big enough for that one) Have fun - might even wanna drink it as you go! Quick Treat using BIG SHOT

My dd suggested this so I had to make one. Using the Big Shot Top Note (Stampin' Up) die, I cut the background, used the two slit punch (SU); inserted a lollypop. I added a ribbon for accent and then glued to a mat. It is just so cute and simple. Love it... These are too cute for kid's treats at a school party, any occasion & holiday, Valentine's, Christmas, birthday, etc. and can be embellished lightly or heavily. Just have fun. Until next post, Happy Stampin' & Scrappin' Nancy Labels: All Occasion, Big Shot, Stampin' Up
